To hedge or it to hedge…for this is the ultimate sports betting forum question.

As always, this really is up to you, but hedging is not the smart play everyone will tell you it is. But there’s a lot of things only you know that weigh into your situation. Do you NEED money RIGHT NOW or your daughter will be kidnapped and raped by angry Japanese weathermen? Then hedge. Otherwise, the whole goddamn parlay is one big hedge leading up to this moment. You hedged out of having to lay 8 grand on the Braves by all these other games coming in, and the hedge saved you almost all of your risk. It’s almost like a freeplay at this point.

But only you know if you should hedge or not

This is not the worst idea in the world, especially for such a small amount. One could always be dejected after having such a seemingly great day only to be shit out of $200 at the end of it all.

But as I stated before, it depends on what this all means to you

Absolutely correct it actually boils down on how it effects you mentally moving forward. What personality type are you?

Imagine at the end of it all if the Braves lose and you’re out the $200. Is it gonna piss you off pretty badly or is $200 not much to you and you won’t notice it?

And how much is 8 grand to you? How much is half that to you??? Will you say “goddamn I coulda guaranteed 4 grand and I fukked it up again and actually managed to lose $200 when I had the guarantee in the palm of my hand, I always do this, I’m such a loser!” Then hedge

Will you be pissed off if you hedge and then the Braves win and you don’t get all the money that’s mathematically owed to you for hitting such a monster parlay?

Do you want a free mortgage payment this month? Do you want to buy a Les Paul Custom off of Reverb? Or are you floating through the universe with no wants or cares or desires, money isn’t a big deal to you, you only do this to feel alive? Ask yourself these questions, then hedge or don’t hedge

I mean I’ll admit if you’re trying to hedge that wasn’t a good way to do it, but I think the rationale was probably something along the lines of “I don’t have four grand on hand right this moment to hedge with” but wanted to hedge for as much as he could so got creative.

Whatever. Things happen, not the end of the world. Just put together another good PAAAHHHHHHLAY and this is a distant memory right

If I hedge, the original play wins. If I don't hedge, the original play loses. Go figure
