This series has so many variables to it. Curry's hot start in the 1st qtr made you think G.S. would cake walk this thing. It truly didn't look good for Boston momentum wise.

A. Curry won't be able to score like that on Boston's D for a full 48 minutes... Curry tired out by the 4th qtr. He was totally exhausted. If G.S. doesn't have another game plan... G.S.'s chances of winning this series is zero.

B. Boston's hot 3 point success rate won't be like that either.... but I do believe they can match G.S.'s 3 making ability.

C. Tatum was non existent in Game 1. Like... he never even TURNED IT UP. Scary to think if you're a G.S. fan. Wait until he does turn it up... and get familiar to the true emotions of the FINALS.


The only question I have is this.... If Boston wins Game 2. And they take a 2-0 series lead. Does G.S. even win 1 game in Boston?? Or do they get swept? You DAMN WELL KNOW... heavy G.S. money would come in on Game 3 Money Line. It makes you wonder if G.S. would get swept?

Horrible for TV ratings... great for USA Sportsbooks though. From Kerr's DNA... would he put up with being swept?? Maybe he'll slam his hand down on the table... and lose his SH## again acting like a clown over the Texas school shooting.... give him an Oscar for that. How about slamming your hand down... and waking your fukking team up??? Kerr is a tool.

I never liked the concept... of any assistant coach... who's on staff with a possible chance to win a title in the Finals... and he already knows he's gone at the end of the year to another team... for a head coaching role. I don't believe that individual truly gives it his all. And he has his mind on other things.

If G.S. loses this series.... all you will hear is.... G.S. top players were in their 30's... and possibly getting old and fatigued. Everyone will be saying this. But experience doesn't matter right? If Boston wins... it shows you.... youth, defense, and total team chemistry wins championships.

Gonna be an interesting series especially given the finals format of 2-2-1-1-1. I'm interested to see if Kerr has a lineup of pure offense without draymond but the game was lost in the fourth quarter even without tatum and non primary offensive guys having huge nights and with curry having his best finals game stats wise thus far.

Even if you took Draymond out.... and went strictly run and gun.... at certain points Boston's team D would mellow the attack out and easily score without Draymond in there. Even though Draymond doesn't look like much... he's still the general out there. He does the intangibles that most players can't do.

If Boston's game plan is just to weather the storm for 3 quarters.... and allow Curry to tire out by the 4th.... it may work. G.S. simply couldn't score. You could say Boston got lucky with all the hot shooting. But G.S. simply gave up and didn't try.

Wishful thinking. GS is dead money, very overrated team. Beat nobody to get to the finals. Boston beat 3 title contenders.

Horrible coaching for Celtics. You're up in the game or tied or slightly behind and I think they jacked up 9 3's in the final minutes and only made 1 of them. Before they got too far behind. You have an advantage in the paint? Yes. Yet, you shoot outside every shot in the closing minutes?

Even the announcers kept saying its game 4 and they have no answer for the 3 point line pick and roll GS is doing to them. So, let Curry hit 3's all night or perhaps let the guy setting the pick or Curry drive to the rim and some late help could challenge the shot? Rather allow a few 2 point easy buckets like that here and there then allow him to launch easy un-contested 3's all night.

Its just bad coaching and they had the best D in the league this year.

Celtics are a defensive team. They don't have a truely elite offensive player imo. Halfcourt execution was always going to be their weakness.

Curry is going to get his... you just need to wear him out as best you can. All of Boston's wins needed high offense. If Boston wins.... take the Over (Totals). If you think G.S. wins... the Under seems to hit.

I'm done dissecting this series. Boston has played around... and allowed G.S. to breathe.... now's the time to put your foot in the ground and give it all you have... you literally have only 2 more games this season.

As for G.S. all you can say is... they're holding serve right now... it's their dish they want to "serve up". They are in the driver seat. Boston literally has to steal it from them now.

Excellent post. Boston of 2021-22 reminds me of Detroit in 2003-04. Similar because the balance of the team is near perfect. The only difference is... Detroit Pistons played with SO MUCH HEART as a TEAM. Boston doesn't do this.
