    G’day mate to those who are celebrating Good Friday today! Hope the Easter Bunny is treating you well

    With new ownership comes a few reminders:

    1. Scamming/touting/referral bonuses aren’t allowed. Should you be found to be participating in conversations about this you’ll be banned. If you get a PM, delete and report. You respond = you’re gone. Some of you have been very silly lately thinking you’re going to make $1k a day from a tout and now you’re crying to us for help. I can’t even get 7/11 to refund my dud slurpee. Sorry we can’t get a scammer to refund you and never will. Do better and think better but go elsewhere if you don’t listen to us and think Joe Money is going to make you rich.

    2. This isn’t the place for racism, homophobic behaviour and cruel behaviour. Think of this now as the most white bread, vanilla gambling site you’ve ever been to unless you’re in the Saloon and that’s up to whatever mod is working. Still no nudity, weird vids, etc but there is big money involved with this place now so we need to be on 30% of our best behaviour. I realise I couldn’t ask you to do what I can’t.

    3. This joint is going to be different and while I was majorly not happy with the hoodwink to start with from sbr, the amount of money and work this crew is putting in is astonishing. They’re of the belief apparently that we roll it all out at once so we don’t crash what we have by doing it piecemeal. So things will crash or not randomly and we just have to accept it.

    Finally a big shoutout to the staff here. This has been one of the shittiest transitions of operations known to man. Bravo or TLC would have had a field day with filming what a mess this was and yet the crew here have been impeccable, gone above and beyond with much less tools and worked 3 or 4x the hours they should’ve just to try to get your trivia points paid and lines up in the book. There are real people behind those usernames so please try to remember that when you lash out about your 10 point freeplay.

    Points are going to be used again. I’m not willing to say how because I’m not part of that process and don’t want to f anyone over should it change but points are most definitely not going away. I had a big chat with the new owners about this on Wednesday. They’ll be back but they’re trying to make sure everything is 200% before offering items. Definitely hold on to them though!

    Thanks for the update Shari. Any idea on where the new owners are spending the money?

    Are they redesigning the site or the sbr odds and all will be rolled out at once?

    I'm trying to understand what they are investing their money and what is the purpose of keeping it so secret from your customers?

    He's banned and should've been awhile ago.

    And Pavy they're focusing on the infrastructure of the site, odds, reviews, etc.

    Unbeknownst to me at least as I'm so far from a techie, a lot of the stuff we had on the old SBR was hacked and pieced together by Lou or other workers we had at the time. Which is a remarkable effort even though there were still faults even with that but when you try to change it to another server and ensure it's at a professional standard, it's not going to work. So they're building it all for scratch. Whether they knew that was going to be an issue or not, I don't know as to be honest I don't want to know the answer from either side.

    I do get it though. I couldn't even get an automated tennis contest in 12 years and when I had Yisman do a mock up we couldn't transfer it to the former SBR server. So as I understand it, they're taking the upgrade of this place very seriously and want to do it right. They know people are beyond frustrated but it's also why they're still paying their staff properly when there are days they couldn't even log on, let alone work.

    Oh thanks for the info. This is good news. I would love for this site to be built from scratch and make it better. We are just posters and don't know the tremendous amount of work that goes behind the scenes by techs to make this site work the way it does.
