BIG 12 very strong - you didn't listen to me........

Preseason I told u these teams would all have very good seasons and it already started to unfold this past weekend:

Oklahoma - needs to shore up D
Kansas state - just trust me
    TCU - again, trust me
Iowa State - looked bad but wait until they beat Iowa this Sat
Tex Tech - Oregon transfer at QB is ready to prove ppl wrong
Baylor - needs to shore up O

Even WVA, Ok state and possibly texas will be good

Could be 8-9 teams in bowls

VERY STRONG CONFERENCE top to (nearly) bottom.

    Only kansas sucks

Bull S**t. That is all you post. Time to put up or shut up. I will take Cal +10 1/2 over TCU and Iowa + 4 1/2 over Iowa State. Those are the current lines at the William Hill Books in Vegas. The rest of your teams plays teams that thy always love to play. Patsies. I noticed how conveniently you left out Oklahoma State who nearly lost to Missouri State. As far as 8 or 9 teams playing in a bowl game, all teams have to do is win 5 games this season to become eligible because there are so many bowl games and so few teams that may win 6.

Oklahoma really looked bad and they are clear and above the cream of the B12. I don't know where to put them but I wasn't very impressed by any of their teams. We'll have to wait and see.

I probably would have taken TCU at -8.5. Probably not touching the game at -10.5. Small lean on Cal at this number but it looks spot on to me.

I love Iowa catching points. Feels like a pickem to me, so +4.5 is great. I already locked in a small bet on Iowa. May increase.

Big 12 is an all-around solid conference but will prolly lack that blockbuster team

OU prolly wins out, gets in the playoffs and then gets steamroller

So basically, its just another year

I’m an OU guy but I don’t think the league is very good.

    - OU beats Tulane by 5
    - Iowa State beats FCS UNI by 6
    - OSU beats FCS Mizzou St by 7
    - KU beats a bad FCS team by 3
    - WVU straight up loses
    - Baylor beats Texas St by 9

K-State looked good against one of the worst teams (Stanford) in the worst Power 5 conference. Not sure what you take away from that.

Texas looked good against a Sun Belt team.

When 3 of your top 5 teams are struggling to beat Tulane, Northern Iowa, and Missouri State at home…I’m not sure how you start talking about how good the league is.

OU and Iowa State are supposedly the cream of the crop and they beat Tulane and Northern Iowa at home by a combined 11 points.

You think the top 2 teams from the SEC or Big 10 are going to do that had they played the same opposition?

maybe on paper, but we know games are not played on paper...........they are played inside your TV :-)

Kansas State and TCU will have something to say about that, MACker.

some of you don't get it.

the toughest games to judge teams on is Game #1 and the Bowl game.

    why? longest layoff between games.

watch what happens the next several weeks.

    K-STATE already dominated Stanfarce

    texas beat ranked ULL

textech beat a sneaky good houston team (trust me houston goes bowling)

    Sat 9/11

TCU will take care of Cal
IOWA State will take care of Iowa
Texas might lose to Arkansas (hmmmmmm ROYer)

    the following week........ Sat 9/18

    OU takes care of Nebraska
    WVA takes care of VATech
Okie State takes care of Boise State

and then we go into CONF play and you will see schools like K-STATE and TCU take a toll on teams within the CONF this year !!!

Week 2 Futility from the Big 12
    - Oklahoma State squeaks by Tulsa by 5 points at home...Tulsa lost at home to UC Davis last week
    - Iowa State is getting thrashed at home by Iowa....pathetic
    - TCU barely beat a bad Cal team by 2 points at home...the same Cal team that got handled by Nevada

I want the Big 12 to be good but I'm a realist.

Hawkeyes only 11 first downs and 175 yds

+4 in turnovers was the difference

Cyclones basically gave it away if u actually know football

Hawkeyes barely had 11 first downs and 175 yds. Cyclones gifted them 4 turnovers. Hawkeyes were +4 in this dept.

They didn't have to do much. Solid defense, grind out offense. Let State make all the mistakes. Taking care of the ball is part of football.

i agree but that kind of pedestrian O will not get the Hawkeyes to a DD win total in the B1G, not this year.

    hmmmmmm

Hawkeyes very good but they will need better O to have a great year. Cyclone D shut them down, too, but the Cyclone gave them short fields and a gift TD on that fumble return.

ferentz a great, great coach, but so is Matt Campbell.

let's talk again about both teams on the morning of Sunday 11/28 and we will see how the season played out.

Cyclones IMO still a very, very, very good team.
