Attempted six different withdrawals yesterday, all were legitimate BTC destination addresses. Each one was rejected as being invalid. Finally gave up and sent them an email complaining and asking for an explanation. Tried again several times this morning and eventually achieved success. Still haven't received a response from Coinbase . Looking in to eToro as an alternative crypto exchange. Coinbase fails in many areas as far as my needs are concerned. Phuk 'em.

Coinbase is an Exchange. Not a wallet.

    Gemini.com is an alternative exchange.

    Electrum.org is a wallet.

I know it is not wise but have used Coinbase to deposit/payout directly to/from books. Haven’t been closed yet.

I just did several deposits with litecoin and Coinbase didn’t ask 2FA. Also, they did some minor cosmetic with cash withdrawals as they now call it “cash out” instead of “withdrawal”. It feels more like gambling as when I’m at the tables I’ll say “cashing out” to the dealers and not “withdrawing “ 😂

Nope. Never used it. Bitcoin ATM only way to go. Who cares about fees you cheap stinky motherfukkers? Have you read all the issues with coin base which you still gotta fork over fees? Go to the nearest coincloud. Get your shit in within an hour and be done with it.

I use a coinflip atm to buy and send to book, but where I live its almost impossible to find atms that will let you sell btc and get the cash, so I still use coinbase. When I need to sell and get cash, usually going from wallet to coinbase to paypal to bank, it shouldnt take that many steps to get our $

You have to wait for the ACH to clear bro.

Coinbase debit card or crypto.com are the only two I am aware of instantly getting coins.

by default Coinbase "doesn't ask" for 2FA, it's up to you to set it up so you have added protection on your account. Also for those moving money from their checking acct to Coinbase or Gemini there will be a waiting period of a few days...debit card/credit card and wire are instant although you'll pay more fees for the debit/credit option. Gemini is better for fees than Coinbase and if you want to use an intermediate wallet TrustWallet works really well and is super simple, it's a hot wallet you can use from your phone and it's found in the Apple/Google stores and has been around and trusted for years, just keep that seed phrase safe somewhere.

No issues with coinbase but BookMaker has called me twice to verify the first and last 4 of the Bitcoin receiving address which is odd.

Yes I have a problem with Coinbase as it's showing my bitcoin balance has just dropped a bunch in the past 2 hours. Was just at 50,000 now it's at 48,000 on the pricing drop. SOB!! .

It's not your own wallet though. It's theirs and just exists so there is some place to transfer crypto in/out of them.

A real "wallet" would mean you are the only one with the private keys.

No need to allow your money to be controlled by anyone else if using crypto. Crazy to do it. Coinbase delay confirmed transactions until they check them as one huge downside of trying to treat them like a personal wallet.
