Funny thing is, I was about to say on Thursday that I wouldn't be surprised if the backbone plays lost 5 or 6 in a row at this point. We've been more than sideways, trending upward, at a rate faster that just line shopping gains us.

Let's see if this leads to volatility, a sideways calming, or an outright disastrous market crash. All of these possibilities are in the cards.

Funny thing is that is how a lot of managers were back in those days!...they spoke their minds and didn't hold back...Lee Elia, Billy Martin, Tommy Lasorda, Earl Weaver, etc!...God I miss those glory days of baseball...Back when most teams had cool uniforms and colors and you could easily identify them...Also there were only 26 teams...none of this watered down expansion bullshit....4 divisions (AL East, AL West, NL East, NL West)...Only Division winners made the playoffs...no wildcard playoff bullshit...the NL and AL pennants was a best of 5 series between the division winners...World Series was a best of seven format...Most teams had a 4 man starting rotation...relief pitchers actually had to pitch an inning or two to get the save!...Damn, I wish MLB would return to it's glorious golden age....and it's nice to see to some MLB teams are bringing back and wearing their retro uniforms...
