    I'm for stricter background checks but don't agree with banning ar-15 rifle. I am also for throwing the book at these senseless idiots who mow down people. Its one thing if you are in gang life and kill other gang members but when its some innocents it really pisses me off.

    Mass shootings are very rare and gun violence as a whole is down significantly from 30 years ago. Their has been a small spike in shooting mostly in democratic cities over the last year, but overall violence rates are clearly and significantly down from what they were at their peak decades ago.
