    Hagler/Hearns Round 1

    Enough said.

One of the greatest middleweights I've ever seen.

Gosh that era of middleweights was just so amazing

I had a Sports Illustrated cover with him on it, in my basement gym wall, growing up.

He had to go nearly a decade at the top, never getting beat after getting the belt

    Hagler/Marciano connection

oh wow, just read this. I never had absorbed this info before

Hagler moved to Brockton, Mass after the Newark Riots. Rocky Marciano came up out of Brockton

his trainer in Brockton was Rocky's childhood buddy and trainer Goody Petronelli

From what I can piece together it was a sudden death.

It was hard to find a scarier boxer, pound for pound, in the 80's.
