    Chiefs Bucs fixed?

Could not believe all the consecutive penalties when the Chiefs were moving in to put the game away with 8 or 9 minutes left. A FG would have done it. They had like 3 holding calls in a row ! That last one there was nothing at all there for sure !

The ref was Shawn Hochuli right ?

He did the Colts and Packers game last week and there was a point late in the game he called penalties on like 8 consecutive plays

yes. it was a show to ensure KC didn't win by more than 3

pretty easy to spot these games... refs ensured jags got a fake penalty vs browns down 8 4th down qb gets sacked, textbook... no hit to head, no landing on him with weight

jags score of course try a bad play for 2 and fail... on purpose... lose by 2... lose but cover

the manipulated spread games have popped up big time last 2 weeks

the last one was the 100% fake one. because the play worked kelce got them all the way down for yards and into pretty easy field goal range at the very least... back em up one more time to kill the drive

romo watched replay and didn't know what to say... "oh a bit of a tug on his jersey... then joked they are making up for calling roughing the passer on tampa"... because he knows they made it up

Have to agree. There was nothing there to call a hold ! Vegas would save a fortune on the push at 3 and probably did alright on the 3 1/2 money.

I think the players fixed it and not the refs. They were stupid penalties. The ref had no option but call them. The game is on TV.

Same thing today in the Giants/Bengals game for anyone who watched. There was a bogus pass interference in the end zone called against the Gmen on 3rd and long when they were up by 9 points late. Again, the announcers of that game were miffed, could not see the infraction on the replay. Of course the Bengals would then trim the lead to 2, covering the spread and doing Vegas a big, big favor.

Can't even say I'm shocked... I pretty much figured if the Bengals couldn't get the backdoor by themselves, they would get the assist from the zebras.

The very reason why I laid off the Giants -6.
(and could not bring myself to bet the Benji's +6 even though I had the feeling)
I smelled something fishy before the opening whistle.

I bet it early in the week when the Giants were -4 so I was happy I had a decent number in my pocket, but as the week unfolded I could tell that the Giants were one of the bigger public plays on the board, so I didn't feel good about it going into the game but rode it out anyways and took the L.

There was a moment in the fourth quarter when the Giants recovered a fumble in plus territory up by 6 at the time, and I could see the writing on the wall... They'll kick a field goal and Bungles will backdoor it and sure enough..

Just for shits and giggles one day I did a little research on the history of the NFL and the original owners.

Tim Mara (Giants) was a runner for NY bookmakers as a teenager and later became a bookmaker.

Charles Bidwell Cardinals (Chicago) was a lawyer with ties to Al Capone.

The original Detroit Lions were owned by the Ford family and though highly respected American business icon, a lot of the Ford money was 'dirty'.

My favorite is the Art Rooney story.
Rooney funded his Steelers with 160k he won at Saratoga race track in 1936 (a gazillion dollars in todays money)

You get my drift, the NFL was founded on very dirty money and crooked from the get go,
Why do things that appear shady today shock some people.
    Some things just don't change.

Look at some of the owners today.
Most of them are not, or come from backgrounds that are not squeaky clean.

The good thing about the NFL is that it brings the money into the books and inevitably that money spills over into other sports where we can then find the value.

One of the best days to bet on sports the entire year is usually the NCAA Hoops action on the Saturday right before the Super Bowl.

Yes Nasher, the annual NFL owners meeting where they plan all this is simply a meeting of the bosses.

Remember Ed DeBartolo and Carmen Policy?

KVB you are correct, i tell people to stay away from the high profiles teams like unc, the zags, duke ect, you get where im coming from, the best a easy money are made in the small confs.......so many people want to bet the BIG Game matchups to watch.this is not the way to gamble to win in the long run.
