I would be surprised if a site that large didn't have some sort of failover. But that does no good in the event of a DDoS.
I'm guessing they will be back up Monday or Tuesday. They are losing millions every day they are down.

I don't know how much they make on a daily basis but I'd guess it to be between 1-2 million. They are worldwide and do a lot of volume. I bet they have over 1 million active accounts.

Another reason why people will bet locally when their state makes it legal. The lines won't be as good but you will have 100% security and a peace of mind.
Making it a whole thursday-friday and weekend without fixing the problem. Amateur hour (or weekend in this case.) IMO unacceptable for a book of their perceived stature and grade.

Some people still don't understand the situation. It's a ransomware attack. They either pay off the hackers, or they don't. If they don't, then they have to rebuild everything from backup data. Who knows if BOL backs up their data properly and if so, how long it will take to rebuild everything. STATS Perform -- a giant international data provider -- has been down for 9 days due a ransomware attack.
I'm hoping for the best here, but there is some chance this outage persists for a long time and/or there is some loss of data.
