So the KVB MLB Contrarian Fund is currently down nearly 11 units, but off it's lows and a bit of a double bounce.

Here's the list of backbone plays that were all a part of the Fund plays above. This subset can be a much more conservative tracking of the market. It's so good, I allow for a broader scope with the other plays. Sometimes that scope improves the overall results, sometimes it doesn't.

Here's the chart and you can see that there was quite the contrarian shakeout right from the outset...



Clearly the 20 and 10 SMA's are not the best averages with only 75 plays and we'll work on some of those metrics in future posts.

So while the Fund is down nearly 11 units and we are seeing an averages cross to a possible negative stance in the main chart, the backbone is reaching new highs.

Both situations imply a near term pull back and we could see that before season end. The shortened season has been a concern in terms of being able to make up ground from the early season shakeout but it's worth noting that much of last year's tracked profit in this Fund came in the playoffs.

That's where the widened target of the Contrarian Fund can excel, while the backbone plays remain fewer and farther bewteen in their conservative role.

Here are those charts again, loaded with technicals. Even though yesterday's day was a winner, we expect, based on this charting, for a small pullback or at the very least a sideways market.

If we see that over a few plays hopefully the next leg up gets us to -5 units or better in the overall Fund.

True about Pitt but we don't get the trigger until we add one more market factor...the offered Total.

It's the drop in that Total that puts us on the dog and it's that timing this morning that messed up my posting.

Most understand this drop, so it's not quite Sharon material to edit, but it was definitely a factor in the final trigger.

I can easily include some extra enrichment fields and link together the preprocessing data structures to support some analysis into those things to look at.
