Great investment opportunities here. Market is great right now if you buy the right players. Not old enough to remember the golden years of card collecting but a lot of experts have told me this era is similar if not better. Jump in ASAP

Yes. Look your card up on EBay recently sold section to see if they hold any value.

80's and 90's cards have to be unique (and rare) to hold value. they printed so many cards back then.

i started again and am building up. love card collecting.

I have them from the 70's and 80's but beware. Unless those cards are in mint condition and in a case they are a fraction of the value that you see them worth.

Holy F&ck....just looked up my 1980 Rickey Henderson PSA 9 and see it’s selling for over $800.

Think I bought it for just under $100.

I have 4 ungraded ones as well. One could be a 9, while the other two are 8’s. Guess I need to send them in for grading.

I remember thinking he was going to be the next Nolan Ryan. Had a ton of his rookie card (as it turned out later - so did everyone else).

Honus Wagner was $10,000 back in 1985 when I was collecting cards.. I told my parents to buy me one saying it's gonna turn into millions but they didn't believe me.

I fell for this as well. I got back into cards for a couple of years in the late 80's/Early 90's Bought a block of 50 Upper Deck each of McDonald, Benes and Mussina. The card market was pretty saturated then as well.

You mean like most of mine are now? lol. Thank goodness I don't need any investment from them. The enjoyment I got from them as a kid exceeds any monetary value.

When I was 15 years old, I spent every penny I had on baseball cards. I was so proud of my 12 Jose Canseco Donruss rookies cards. Thought I was rich at the height of his career and the card bubble.

Although, my pride and joy was my 1984 Donruss set my parents bought me For winning the distract championship in the 400 m dash. That whole back stretch all I could think about was getting that card set (which my dad promised me if I won).

I got some old rare Michael Jordan gold signature cards. It’s a 6 card limited edition set I got like 20 years ago. Think it’s worth anything?

Interesting. I’ve got a few of those cards but never got them graded. I think one of them had a stick of fukking gum on the back.

Collected them all through the 80's and gave it up. I'm doing it mainly for nostalgia now. Collecting the sets of the Houston Astros for every year they have been in existence. Collect official game programs for every season also.

Learned my lesson on 89 Donruss. All those cawksuckers overproduced the cards to make more coin and left all of us out to dry. Sort of like all those cawksuckers that went to China and sold the products once made here back to us. Same cawksuckers, different business. Will never buy a card ever again.

Lol. I got that set for Xmas gift. I kept telling my Dad that was the set I wanted. I think I got 83 Fleer too. Baseball. Not even sure what they are worth but I believe less than what he bought it for about 35 years ago? If you incorporate the time value of money, that set has probably went down thousands of dollars. I still have it too.

On eBay the 84 Donruss is offered at around 275-300 bucks. Has Mattingly and Strawberry Rookies.

On eBay the 83 Fleer is offered at around 35-40 bucks, even with Boggs, Sandberg and Gwynn Rookies.
