Would you have surgery now in a NYC Hospital

Mentioned this in an earlier thread but I had surgery postponed in March
That I need badly. In January I had hernia surgery through a laparoscope
    That was unsuccessful.

got a call that Surgeon has me booked Tuesday. In order to have surgery your case needs to be approved by a committee. If I pass on the date it could be months
until I am able to schedule with my surgeon who is backed up 100 cases minimum
on top of a very busy practice.

    thoughts please. Thanks

Push the hernia back in with your fingers and start doing sit ups.. Lose weight and get healthy.. Be surprised how the human body responds to clean living, no stress and solid cardio daily.. Change your life style.. Doctors and surgery isn't always the answer to fixing things in your body.

Hospitals are pretty safe and clean now.. Wear a mask and go in if you feel you need the surgery done in all seriousness..

Solid guidance. DrTried to push it back , no go.
    “ permanently incarcerated “. Unreal.
The rest I start up again 30-45 days after surgery. Agree 100%. I am at my heaviest weight now and it feels
horrific. Wasn’t long ago I was doing spartan races.

Had surgery today. NYP outpatient and the place operated with intense efficiency.
pain when I woke up was pretty significant. I understand first two days are toughest.
never took pain medicine before but they gave me two and an RX so I’ll use to navigate for
a few days. I was incredibly nervous but anasthesia is something else like an on off button for
consciousness. Praying they kept me safe from virus, sure seemed clean and well managed.
hoping to feel better inside a week.
thanks for the well wishes and feedback

I think its been proven that hospitals do not heat dry their bedding sheets and laundry @ high enough temperature to kill microbes and bacteria.

Its the reason they're breeding grounds for antibiotic resistant disease.

Even without corona, they're not pleasant places to be.

    ...

    Congrats, btw!
