    SBR is regular season only

Three-hundred and fifty-three teams started with an undefeated record in November and now the Aztecs are the only ones who can make that claim.
San Diego State has surpassed its 20-0 start from the 2010-11 season with a 71-67 win over UNLV on Sunday.
Last year, undefeated Michigan and Virginia both lost on Jan. 19 in a pair of challenging road games at Wisconsin and Duke, respectively. Remarkably, in the 2017-18 season, the final three undefeated teams lost on the same day — Arizona State at rival Arizona, TCU at home to Oklahoma and eventual national champion Villanova at Butler.

Toughest remaining game: Saturday, Feb. 29 at Nevada

You can thank the Mountain West schedule-makers if this comes to fruition: an undefeated, likely No. 1 team in the country going on the road to play Nevada on a Saturday in its regular season finale.
There's still a lot of basketball to be played between today and Feb. 29 — eight games, to be exact — but San Diego State is currently in first place in the Mountain West with a 10-0 record, while Nevada is currently tied for second at 6-3.
Nevada still has talent left over from Eric Musselman's tenure, when the Wolf Pack quickly developed into an annual NCAA tournament team and a program that would challenge for 30 wins a season. After being a key reserve last season, senior Jazz Johnson (16.8 ppg) has stepped into a larger role as a starter and the team's second-leading scorer, while fellow guards Jalen Harris (18.9 ppg) and Lindsey Drew (11.7 ppg) also average double figures in points per game.

    Three more games to circle:

    • Wednesday, Jan. 29 at New Mexico
    • Saturday, Feb. 1 vs. Utah State
    • Sunday, Feb. 16 at Boise State

    I have to say no.
SDSU still has 8 games remaining and as their streak goes on the media attention will intensify.
More than likely they’ll have a brain fart along the way.

    I’m rooting for them though.

Assuming that means regular season, those are great odds; they aren't playing anybody in the MWC.

The Aztecs (22-0, 11-0 in Mountain West) got off to a 17-0 lead, holding New Mexico (16-7, 5-5) scoreless for the first 4:44 before Corey Manigault, who finished with 12 points, hit a turnaround jumper from the paint.
San Diego State made seven of its first nine shots, including three 3-pointers, to blow the game open early. The Lobos missed their first seven shots and also turned it over twice in that span. The lead never dropped below 12 points thereafter.

With the easy win, the Aztecs retained their large conference lead as every other team has at least three losses. It is the team’s longest undefeated streak to start a season and is San Diego State’s 11th road/neutral-court win of the season.

    UP NEXT
San Diego State: The Aztecs are home Feb. 1 to play Utah State, which is coming off a 68-45 win over Wyoming on Tuesday.
New Mexico: The Lobos are at Fresno State on Feb. 1 after the Bulldogs beat Air Force 79-68 on Tuesday.

I think tomorrow will be the day SDSU goes down. We shall see. If they don’t the.n, They are pretty much home free till last game in Nevada. They will lose that one. I expect them to drop 2 of the last games left.

he Utah State men’s basketball team travels to Southern California looking to upset San Diego State and ruin the Aztecs’ perfect season. The Aggies and Aztecs square off at Viejas Arena in San Diego on Saturday, February 1.
San Diego State enters the second meeting between the two schools this season with a No. 4 ranking and a perfect 22-0 record.

The Aztecs are also 11-0 in Mountain West Conference games.
When the schools met for their first matchup of the season on January 4, San Diego State’s Malachi Flynn scored 22 points.

The Aztecs outshot the Aggies 50.9 percent to 42.6 percent overall and 45.0 percent to 26.1 percent from behind the arc.

Utah State guard Sam Merrill led the Aggies with 26 points on 8-21 shooting.
USU center Neemias Queta posted a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds.

San Diego State fans are encouraged to wear white to the game. Free t-shirts will be handed out to all fans in attendance.
The Aztecs will retire Leonard’s No. 15 jersey during a halftime ceremony.
Leonard, who is currently a member of the NBA’s Los Angeles Clippers, played at SDSU from 2009-11. During his 70 career college games, Leonard recorded 40 double-doubles.
As sophomore in 2011, Leonard led the Aztecs to a 32-2 (14-2 Mountain West) record and a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
The Aztecs were defeated by Connecticut 74-67 in the Sweet Sixteen. Connecticut would go on to win the national championship.
After the season, Leonard decided to forgo his final years of collegiate eligibility to pursue the NBA. He was drafted with the 15th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers. He was traded on draft night to the San Antonio Spurs.
Leonard was won two NBA championships during his nine seasons.
The former SDSU forward won NBA Finals MVP after winning the title with the Spurs in 2014 and with the Toronto Raptors in 2019.
He is a four-time NBA All-Star and two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year.

    UConn Husky homer checking in.
    I remember that game vividly.

That game scared me to death.
Great game, the second half was insane.
Thank God Leonard had an off shooting night.
Kemba had 36 points, Jeremy Lamb had twenty something points.
I remember Napier chipping in off the bench with assists and rebounds.

Shame more SDSU grads didn't get drafted, Leonard did them proud though,
