And collectively, we're not that stupid, we're actually pretty brilliant. You don't have a huge hand in creating the modern world and modern culture because you're a bunch of neanderthals. We are that rare combination of brains, balls, and creativity that nobody else has (but they're getting there, and that's good for everyone). We don't know where Bulgaria is, but we're practical, and we realize that in the end, information like that isn't useful. It's useful if you want to appear smart in front of other people from other countries, but we're not insecure like that.

We're the height of capitalism, and that's going to breed a lot of stupid people that just never made it, and media will shine a huge spotlight on them and make other countries dumb enough to fall for it think that we're all that way. All while they read this info on their iPhones, which Americans (primarily) created.

Ignorant with regards to some areas. I have some friends who work immigration at the US/CAD border and they'll occasionally get Americans from the south driving to Toronto in the summer with winter coats and parkas packed in 90 degree weather. I've come across some in Vegas in the summer who asked me how freezing it is in Canada at the moment. I know not all are that stupid, though. I deal with a lot of stupid Canadians everyday, too.
