I don't think male violence is worse now than back when I was a child and it wasn't abnormal for a man to give his a wife a "slap across the chops" even in public.

But... males today are confused. Being told their base instincts are shameful and wrong constantly. Convincing the world that males are bad and dangerous just re-inforces the thought it cannot be controlled and further imprisons the weak into living in fear. Saying males are dangerous all the time is just as bad for women as men. Worse for them in some aspects.

Two residents of a South Boston luxury condominium found dead inside the building were identified Saturday.


The bodies of Lina Bolanos, 38, of Boston, and Richard Fields, 49, of Boston, were discovered by police after they exchanged gunfire with a suspect, later identified as Bampumim Teixeira, 30, of Chelsea. Both Bolanos and Fields were area doctors.
"The entire Mass. Eye and Ear community is deeply saddened by the deaths of Dr. Lina Bolanos and her fiancé," John Fernandez, President and CEO of Mass. Eye and Ear wrote. "Dr. Bolanos was an outstanding pediatric anesthesiologist and a wonderful colleague, in the prime of both her career and life."
Field worked at North Shore Pain Management, a clinic with offices in Woburn and Beverly.
"Dr. Field was a guiding vision at North Shore Pain Management and was instrumental in the creation of this practice," the clinic said in a statement. "Prior to his time at NSPM, he was an anesthesiologist and pain management specialist at Beverly Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital."
The statement continued saying his passing "leaves an inescapable void in all of us."

Sources tell WCVB the victims had their throats slashed.

The suspect in their deaths was shot multiple times after exchanging gunfire with police officers, officials said.
Officers were called to the Macallen Building on Friday night in response to a report of a man with a gun.

Commissioner William B. Evans said Teixeira fired at the officers when they confronted him at the door of a penthouse condo and police fired back.

Police say the 30-year-old fired his gun once, suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Evans said the officers were "pretty shaken up" but not injured.

There was no word on a possible motive for the shooting.

Police said multiple charges are expected against Teixeira.

“The DA will likely bring charges for two counts of murder here,” Evans told reporters.

He said authorities believe that the victims and Teixeira knew each other.

The penthouse was bought in 2013 for $1.9 million.

Neighbors said that only residents of the penthouse had access to that floor.

“You can't get up there without a key. The elevators wouldn't even open the door for you without a key. So there's no access unless someone lets you in,” said Macallen Building resident Jack Fu.

Investigators spent much of Saturday collecting evidence at the scene and searching the neighborhood for surveillance video.Police believe the crime does not appear to be random.
"We believe we have the individual responsible for their deaths," Evans said at a news conference late Friday night.
