    How Long Till A Major American Athlete Is Murdered?????

    for choking, a la Andres Escobar

    One of the most selfish acts in soccer history occurred when Colombian defender Andres Escobar accidentally kicked the ball into his own net during a 2-1 loss to the U.S. at the 1994 World Cup. When Escobar returned home to Medellin, he was shot 12 times and murdered. Many believe Escobar’s death was in retaliation for the gambling losses suffered by several powerful drug lords.



    I say it won't be too long from now. Maybe one of guys in NFL???

    Steve Bartman was never murdered so I doubt it will ever happen. That guy has to be the most hated person in recent sports' history... cost a team with the longest title drought a shot.

    The dumb thing was he knew very well that it wasn't a good idea to go out that night and yet he still did. He kinda deserved what he got as cruel as thats sounds, but if you disobey your family and friends and stare death in the eye's good luck surviving.

    hard to murder famous people in this country, especially those with money. Also the computer/technology age has made it easier to vent and be extreme on things like twitter and facebook so I think the crazies are less likely to act out in real life
