Firefox Is Still better Than Chrome And I Will Tell You Why

Much better and more plentiful extensions and plugs ins
Chrome gobbles up way too much computer resources IMO and spyware
Much easier for programmers to write add ons

If you are not running a HIPS and ie9 then you are clueless....

people just state stuff and assume it to be correct without any research or empiracal data to back up their claims.

Still totally dependent on your operating system and hardware. Google Chrome has fixed a lot of problems with Firefox that most Firefox users didn't even know they had, and Firefox is still working to catch up. (Restart-free extension installation, isolated processes that keep one bad tab from crashing the entire browser, etc.) As a result, Chrome's smart feature set has been winning over a lot of Firefox die-hards.

I didn't click anything. Nothing wrong with being a computer geek. At least you have a job.

Way better than Internet Explorer 8, and a good notch or two above FireFox as well. And not just for the Exchange either -- better, faster, and cleaner for almost every site.
JJ, no matter how threads you start on this topic, you will still be wrong. I have used both for a long time, and for most everything, Chrome is just better. And if I needed for evidence, Ganch made the quoted post above earlier today. So I guess you are telling Ganch, who is a programmer himself, that he is also wrong.

I used IE, but I had problems the last months. Now I'm using Firefox and everything works fine. Firefox loads the websites faster than IE does.

The most bang for the buck at the cheapest price

    http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...ku=A180-156119

2nd gen with these specs, if you got these specs in a laptop 6 months ago, it would have run you about $850. Not saying that anything here is going obsolete any time soon, there just haven't been too many improvements on the personal retail side with the recession. The only thing that some would knock is the Pentium Processor. IMO, I've never had a problem even with laptops used by gamers that run a shit ton of concurrent processes. This will do everything you need plus stream media very well.

Firefox 4 is pretty solid. Big improvement over the last version.

Chrome is OK, but it's a memory hog on OS X and it bogs down if you have 20+ tabs open. It still has a ways to go on the Mac platform.

A lot of people do, they definitely suffer from Hyundai Syndrome where everyone assumes they are pretty bad when they're quite the opposite.

Firefox is popular for one point: It's not Microsoft IE*
THis is a constant cycle people. For starters, Chrome can be bulked up to the point where it eats up all resources just starting up. If you have like 64Gb RAM you're okay...otherwise it can suck, especially with Google Earth doing it;s thing. Firefox was at it's best 2 years ago and why they did away with duplicate tabs, which was it's clear advantage over IE back then I'll nveer know. Now IE has it, FF don't and IE is less apt to make your pc crash, Ic an't speak for Macs, i used ot be Mac savvy but not so much anymore. OPera and safari are not on this level but it has it's diehard following. I have not test-driven the new IE beta nor the new FF beta but right now IE 9 rules..sorry,would rather say it's mozilla but that would be false... it crashes like a MF and extensions, especially adobe fail far too often

Right click your chrome logo and add this after the quote in your target line

    -enable-accelerated-compositing -enable-gpu-rendering -enable-video-layering -enable-webgl -enable-accelerated-2d-canvas -enable-fastback

and then tell me Firefox is the better browser.
