Wireless Internet Question: Modem and Router

I just had road runner come install a cable modem at my house, the cable modem has one ethernet plug. My question is if I get a wireless router and connect the modem to it, can I still run a "hard line" to my computer to the wireless router so I can still have a "hard line or direct hookup"?

Yes. There should be 4+ sockets in the back of the router you can run an ethernet cable from.

or you could skip having too much hardware and ask comcast if they offer wireless modems..that way they could always help you if you run into problems..

get an external antenna router. better than internal for obvious reasons. d-link dir-655 has been around for awhile and is still one of the best. my max speed is 1.5 MB/s with hardline. i get 1.4 on laptop with the router.

This is what the back looks like. Those (4) open ports can be used to "hardwire" other computers.
