I did a little bit of research last night to see what other people had to say about this movie, and I found out that the baby was actually an aborted calf. They did a pretty good job of animating it considering it was filmed in 1976 at a total cost of $10,000. All that weirdness for such a low price. Amazing.

It is pretty much a film that is a literally someone's nightmare, told by a filmmaker who enjoys making weird/bizarre films. Definitely top 5 weirdest movies of all time. Up there with 'Spider baby' and no more odd then 'Gay niggers from outer space'.

I will watch it. The chicken dinner scene seems cool, and I am watching as much Lynch as possible lately. Curious to see one of his earlier movies.

Anything by David Lynch is crazy... Actually personally wasn't a big fan of Eraserhead...

I like a lot of cult movies, but I didn't like this one. The pacing is excruciating... and I don't mean excruciating in a horrifying way, I mean it in a boring way. There are long expanses of time in which almost nothing happens. If I hadn't known that Eraserhead had a lot of fans before I watched it, I would have thought that no one would enjoy the movie, but apparently a lot of people do for reasons I don't understand.

I tried to watch Eraserhead once, just too weird for me. I liked Mulholland Drive and Blue Velvet though
