    Shirt and Tie to work.....

Anyone required to wear shirt and tie to work? I'm about to get into a new job that is requiring that we wear shirt and tie for the majority of the days. Usually when I'm out auditing or with clients. This is a big change for me as for the past three years it was strickly business casual and only a suit probably like 10 times a year. Anyone getting bamboozled with the same in their 9-5 and do you accompany your shirt and tie with a suit jacket most of the time?

Used to have to wear a collared shirt, khakis and dress shoes. But I was in a cubicle all day. Now, it's collared shirt, jeans and sneakers. Can't put a price tag on comfort.

I'm so glad I don't have to. Who wants to have a colour noose around their neck all day, aka the tie.

Tell them it's "casual everyday', they may give you a promotion.

Girlfriend handles that I guess I should learn how to properly do it for when she gets pissed at me. I will probably get all my clothes pressed and then try to keep them from getting creased up.

Buy Brooks Brothers non-iron dress shirts when they go on sale @ 2 for $100 and you'll never have to iron again. Thank me later.

You will be surprised how easy it will be to get used to. Wearing a nice shirt and tie every day is fine. Seems like most of the time you would either have a suit coat or a sports jacket to go along with a shirt and tie.
