    Why do they test the EBS system every 5 minutes ?

    Not sure about every 5 minutes, but a weekly test is required by law.

    I think monthly is required, but they literally have been testing it every 5 minutes for the last hour ( yesterday, too ! ). Tru TV is the current offender.
