    I would check out the iphone 4, not sure if the 4g is out yet (may be worth it to wait)

    Pony up the $199 and get the iPhone 4. I've had the 3G, 3GS and now the 4 and I'll never get another phone unless Apple stops making them. If you're not sure you need all of the stuff the iPhone 4 offers, you can get the 3GS for $99 I think.

    I don't think the 4G is due out until Fall of 2011. By the time it comes out, he'll be almost a year into his 2-year agreement and pretty close to an upgrade again.

    if I get the iphone I will get it from ebay and just use it with my contract that I have currently, its same as an iphone plan with att, will pay more money for the phone of ebay, but doesnt have to make a 2 years contract

    A lot of times you can "extend" the contract with an upgrade, Say you have 14 months left on your current contract, You may be able to upgrade and then start the two years over. (this could save you money if the phone on ebay is substantially more)

    When I got my iphone I was in the middle of my contract but they had a great deal on the upgrade and they just started my two years over. This is not for everyone, but they will usually work with you.

    I'd get the Iphone 4...Couple buddies have it, and it's a nice phone, the screen looks nice as hell.


    I have the EVO for sprint, and I believe that sprint's plans are cheaper but not 100% sure, since I haven't been with ATT for about 4 years.

    Had a blackberry on T-mobile for 2 years, and got rid of that shit, because of the crap service.

    Now have 2 EVO's and pay 140 for 2 phones, unlimited everything, and 6 bucks a month insurance on each, and they have that bogus 10/phone 4G charge. I don't know if ATT will have that charge when they unleash their 4G.

    you can be a tool and get the iphone. everyones doing it... the droid is a great phone but stats say that iphone users get laid more so always got to factor that into the equation

    You must not have one...I never was/am a huge fan of Apple, but when a company gets a product right and nails the competition to the wall, its hard not to follow. Bottom line, the iphone is probably the best phone out there, some may argue depending on preferences.

    forget the fact that the Iphone is the best product out..

    But when you have an issue with your phone and you drop it off on the genius bar table and tell that kid.. fix it.. or deal with it.. then you will realize apples true value..

    no i dont have one. used one several times. my phone does all the internet shit and everything but i rarely use it. i really only text so all the other shit is useless to me. i fact the happiest i was with a phone was back when i had the gold nokia brick. it made calls text and couldnt ever break it. threw it on the ground several times on purpose and just put it back together and made calls. maybe the best phone ever. i see where the iphone is nice but its not for me.
