I had an 2 door 87 Chevy Cavalier manual 5 speed I bought used for $300 and that was a fun and nifty car.It would start without being plugged in during northern Minnesota winters.I have no beef with GM products from yesteryear but I would never buy a new GM product after the welfare bailout favoritism they received from Obama.

How weird is it that I just looked for a Grand National around my area 3 days ago.

I should of snatched up the one I saw for sale in the middle of nowhere at a country market 4 years ago. 9 grand for one with 41K miles and bone stock.

    Damnit.

Instead I picked up this, which I've probably spent more on than the fuckkin GN.

Favoritism? Last time i checked GM wasn't the only one to get a bailout. The bailout helped save the american auto industry and saved many of jobs during a worse economic time than now. The loans are almost fully paid back. I guess you don't care if people would've lost there jobs. The bailouts worked, thanks to Obama

As far as the most collectable car from the 80's, it's easily the dolorean. Those thing can go for $30,000+ at auction

They are allowed to run their business into the ground and not have to suffer any consequences? Fuk that. They should have had to declare bankruptcy just like everybody else.

That car was made in the 60's, but I guess you could argue since it had never gotten that paint scheme till the 80's it qualifies.

Yah, I know - 69 charger. But I'm a child of the 80s, and dukes of hazzard was probably my favorite show, and that's the car that i loved, so I figured that it qualified, at least for me. besides, it was either the general lee or cringer..

yah i know, now i'm completely off-topic from this thread.

The Buick GNX takes the cake, but if you don't have one already you pretty much missed the boat.

The Grand National, '89 Turbo Trans Am, and Firehawk are up there too.
