    lil help
My turkey popper popped, it's all brown and looking good. But it should have another 1-1.5 hours left to cook.

Its a an 19 lb. unstuffed bird set at 325 degrees. I have no thermometer.

How do I know if it's done already? I hate a dry turkey.

how long has it been in for?

"Traditionally poultry was said to be "done" when fleshy part of the thigh was soft when pressed, the leg moved easily in its socket and juices ran clear when the inner thigh was pricked with a fork or knife at its thickest part."

Looks like about 4 1/2 hours should have done it.

I put it in at 2pm and just took at out at 5:40, The popper popped up a good 45 minutes ago.

I'm gonna let it sit while the green bean cassarole cooks, then cut into it and see how it looks.

... seems to be a bit quick for sure ... as long as the juices are clear - you should be ok ... but be sure to cut in deep close to the bone to be sure .. good luck .. and good eatin'
