Maybe it’s time we do something about guns? We’ve tried the everyone is entitled to one under the constitution but that clearly isn’t working. Maybe try something else?

Most of the murders are committed by people who are not entitled to one but have one anyway.

The guy who shot up this club was arrested last year for some kind of bomb threat and kidnapping. He shouldn't have even been on the streets.

Maybe we should do something about guns like perhaps a tax credit for buying one. If everybody is packing less people get killed via mass shooters.
Also I haven't seen any pictures or names of the killer which means he ain't white.

Yes but if they werent so easily accessible to purchase then they wouldnt be making them at such a fast rate to meet demand. Then maybe we could put some enforcement measures into this country to get unregistered weapons off the streets. Cant do that right now until you make it much harder to get guns

    i agree half

i just feel like with cigs you are doing it to yourself most of the time except for people who are around the 2nd hand smoke their whole lives. i don't care what you do to yourself, it is your body. that is why alcohol is different cause you have the driving drunk aspect. but if you just drink and not drive and choose to do so, so be it. it is your body again.

Maybe is has something to do with Biden being soft on crime.

The Club Q shooter's father was an MMA fighter, porn star, and was on Divorce Court?

He also thought that his son died in 2016 when the son changed his name.

How many deaths have those caused to others though? Meaning get me a number where the person who consumed alcohol killed others and where the person who smoked kill someone else.
Also is this how we justify things now? Oh guns are ok and don’t need any modifications because they kill less than alcohol and cigs.

I know you love blaming Biden for crime but like I was saying before these cities/towns are run by both parties and budgets for police within are determined by those reps. This isn’t a Biden thing unless you want him to impose martial law lol. Because I know you probably don’t want him making federal bans on your guns.
This is an all over problem for both parties to handle. It’s worse now because people are triggered so easily and don’t know how to handle life or stress. They are uneducated, not taught how to cope and not understanding these decisions that they are making. And worst they are allowed to pick up a weapon like you buy a chocolate bar at the grocery store.

Turns out that Colorado Club Q shooter is non-binary

The public defenders for the suspect in the mass shooting at a Colorado Springs LGBTQ nightclub said in a Tuesday night court filing obtained by a New York Times reporter that their client is nonbinary and uses they/them pronouns.

Aldrich was due to make their first court appearance via video link from jail Wednesday, according to the Denver Post.

You know, I know you know that I stand behind a couple of Biden's social ideas/platforms, there isn't a total hatred/dislike for him. I don't like his crime policies though. Dislike them truth be told, there's also plenty of policies I dislike from independents and republicans as well, I guess you can label me an equal opportunity dislike. Truth be told I'm distancing myself away from all labels like I told Chico last month, I'm now Independent, for instance, I believe in smaller government, that would label be a Libertarian by today's definition, which I am not because I don't believe that victimless crimes should go unpunished, being a career IT geek I don't think the government should get involved in the regulation of the internet, but I-commerce needs some sort of policing or else innocent consumers will be taken advantage of.

I don't believe that politicians/government should regulate social media platforms such as Twitter, but I also believe in you can't post instructions on how to build a nuke and level a third world country with it on Twitter, so social media platforms need to be policed some how/some way. Slippery slopes all, and stories for another day, I'm digressing here, I'm the king of digression, I'm good at it, back on point.

Truman, a democrat I can wrap my arms around, the greatest democrat if you ask me in the past 100 years said 'The buck stops here', today the buck stops at Joe Biden's desk, and that's why I finger him as being soft on crime.
Liberals like Kathy Hochul for instance are big on cashless bail, bail reform etc. and it's proven that doesn't work.

Just look at all the violent crime in NYC by recent repeat offenders out on no bail, and that's just one example.
I'm not saying lock up the drunk in the grey bar hotel for urinating in public on the sidewalk, but he's got to be held accountable, have him go in front of a judge, slap him with a 100 dollar fine, and send him off on a conditional release stating something like "commit another public nuisance crime (yes, urinating in public is a crime) and the court will fine you 1000 dollars and you'll get 30 days in jail'

What I am saying is hold the armed robbery criminal on a tough bail until he gets his trial before a judge and jury, make it difficult for that offender to be released until that day in court, you just can't cut him loose saying with a slap on the wrist "bad boy, be a good boy, promise to come back here in a month, is this OK with you"?

Jesus God man, look at the incident last week where a repeat offender, out on soft bail just 48 hours before attacking another woman on a NYC subway platform again, who the hell besides the offender and the judicial system do you hold accountable for that?

That would be Merrick B. Garland, right? Isn't he Department of Justice Chief, one of Biden's instrumental cabinet members, that answers to Kamala Harris, who in turn answers to Joe Biden?

Or do you hold Kathy Hochul, the Governor of New York accountable, the Governor who endorses bail reform, or the newly elected "law and order' mayor of New York Eric Adams accountable? Whoever, but they all fall under the Joe Biden umbrella. And this is why I point the finger at Joe Biden, like Truman said, "the buck stops here"

That's one of several reasons why I dislike Joe Biden the president, I personally think he's not a good president, not because he's a democrat, or because there are skeletons in his families closet , there are skeletons in every families closet, the Kennedy's, the Bush's, the Clinton's et al, mine and yours, hell, I even read up on James Madison some years ago, Dolly Madison was a loose playgirl so to speak even in the White House, James Madison was as straight edge as they came, and a great president too, he signed off on Dolly (his wife) partying ways. That's not why I dislike Joe Biden the president, I'm sure he's a fine family man and has redeeming personal qualities and all, I dislike him as a president because he's not good with foreign affairs, he's soft on crime, I also think he's not a good business person that's bad with budgets, spends money foolishly, these are just my opinions, and you have the right to disagree with my opinions, it's all good, and this is where I step off because Ally, Deb, and I have a Thanksgiving meal to prepare, I do the baking, and if you were local I'd invite you for pie and coffee tomorrow, but not before i touch on the gun policy you brought up.

I have the right being a sane (some may question that lol) solid citizen without any felonies of any sort, to own a handgun, and keep aforementioned HANDGUN on my nightstand for protection of my property and my dog, and my family. I have that right! Having said that, i do believe in part when Biden says there's measures we can take to tighten up handgun laws as it pertains to private ownership, yes, we can do a deeper dive on citizens backgrounds before a license is given, like that for instance

No, I don't believe I should own/operate an AR or an AK or any other assault weapon, no regular citizen needs to own one, and yes, there should be tight laws regarding assault weapons.

I do believe in open carry to certain extents, and I strongly believe 'Gun free zones' do not work, will not work, mainly because gun free zones are an open invite for the criminal element to wreak havoc, which is one of the reasons why I believe in open carry, to a certain extent, and yes I know there are many that will debate and argue that open carry is not the solution, fine, let's debate that on another day, but know this, and know this well, if the criminal minded person wants a gun, he'll sure as hell find and get one, and there is no law that Biden endorsees or will endorse that will prevent that from happening,

I am not a card carrying NRA member as they are way to extreme on the right for my taste, I am not in lock step with everything the NRA believes in, like assault weapons, but I am thankful they stand up for my right to own a handgun for my property and families protection, and if one comes for my right of that ownership, then there's going to be a problem, and trust me I can handle myself just fine, but I am not some sort of tough guy either.
When you get right down to it, when all is said and done, and there is nothing left to say or do, at the end of the day, I am just a highly opinionated regular guy that is 100 percent in favor of peace, love, and understanding.

And this is where I finally get off, as I do have a life and want to get my Thanksgiving chores done, and get to my geeky analytical numbers and apply them to football and basketball endeavors.

God bless, may all your wagers cash, sincere Happy Thanksgiving wishes to you and your family.
    Peace.
