    Many Gamblers Good People

“Many gamblers are good people with a bad problem. Problem gambling makes us do things that we otherwise wouldn’t. Many people I work with who have gambling problems when they enter recovery are some of the kindest, most caring people you will meet. Our attachment to gambling when it becomes a problem changes the way we think.”

And many are extra sensitive when you disagree with them.
And many want to block you when they don't like your replies. And many "seem" to be intimidated by certain members, so they take a simple way and shy away, rather than compete with you, and also, many times, these same members will take the easy way out and use the ol' blocker, too.

Bullshit. If it was REALLY good...the rehab would cleanse you and create an ability to PICK WINNERS.

Like most drug addictions, compulsive gambling is no different. When hooked and out of control you will get desperate to get that daily gambling high and you will not hesitate to borrow money and go into debt, steal, con and maybe even sell your soul and burn friends to get that fix. It can get ugly!

If you aren't hooked then gambling is just a hobby or a job. You'll be better at it if you are not an action junky.

I found many compulsive gamblers to be selfish, manipulative, cheap and self centered. Not always good people.

Many are high energy and intelligent though.

I've seen people lose their primary or vacation home, their family, their retirement over gambling. Sure most of them were decent in person but how does that not make them terrible people if they have/had dependents?

Very well worded. I've never been wired but I still have very little interest in a game if I have no wager. $5 is fine but I need skin in the game.
If I lost every wager I made last year it wouldn't be 5% of my net worth.
