1. Eddie Murphy in his worst role ever as white hating black dad.
2. Over the top liberal BS for 2 hours.

Terrible, also black mom looked better than her daughter. Honestly didn’t even laugh one time. How do movies that are supposed to be funny completely suck all the time now?
He's been in some real stinkers, he'll take any role if the money is right. Can't blame Eddie, who wouldn't turn down 10+ mil to do some terrible movie. Liked him in Beverly Hills Cop

The movie is listed as a romantic comedy, not always the best genre for big laughs. Jonah Hill isn't naturally funny like other big name comedic actors, more of a situational humor type actor. Not really a fan of his roles but do like some of the movies he is in like Superbad and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Was surprised to read that he was the highest paid actor, good for him I guess.

It was one of the worst movies I ever saw and it should have been good with the cast they had. Major disappointment. Amazing they could penetrate this up so badly. I think he’s good in some spots and this should have been a good role for him. Playing the foil to Eddie Murphy. Unfortunately, nothing could have saved this script
I made it through the first hour last night. It started off barely watchable and has gone downhill from there.
I am going to power through the rest somehow for educational purposes.

All of a sudden, comedians think they are the most important people in society. For every good comedian, there are 20 terrible ones. Now they try to shock people instead of make them laugh.
Its definitely been awhile.
2019 The Gentlemen and 2018 Green Book are probably the closest to a comedy movie which is good entertainment in many years.
But nothing like classics like Trading Places, Dumb and Dumber, The Big Lebowski, Austin Powers, Caddy Shack, Groundhog Day, Superbad, Anchorman, Borat, Wedding Crashers, etc for a long time now.
Jonah Hill has not a decent movie since Grandma's Boy!
Nothing since Mel Brooks.

Had some funny moments, but overall it was cringey and didn't really seem to have a good flow.
I finally finished it yesterday. I laughed 5 times. It had it's moments but too much of it seemed forced and over-the-top. I give 2 out 5 stars.
I started Green Book last night because of Dwight's mention above. Seems solid so far.
