All In The Family was pretty damn funny. I was watching seasons 1-5 on YouTube TV recently and there is no way you could ever do or say anything like that on tv again

This thread is great. I watched most of the shows that were mentioned so far.

Here's a few that I liked that were either cancelled too soon or they never became popular for whatever reason.

So many I liked as a kid.
I guess "kid" can have different ranges too.
Plus, I had a preference for cartoons and old shows in syndication in the early am before school, or in afternoon after school. But in evenings I had a preference for sitcoms and dramadies.

Really young, i remember I liked Sesame Street, Captain Kangaroo, New Zoo Review, Our Gang(Lil Rascals), G-Force(Battle Of The Planets), and Taxi. Yes, as a tiny kid I remember liking Taxi. Taxi is probably first adult sitcom I remember actual enjoying. I probably had no idea what the jokes were, but I thought DeVito and Lloyd were funny characters and it made me laugh.

As a big kid I liked so much stuff. After school it was probably G.I. Joe, Transformers, He-Man, Thundercats, and any syndicated shows like Brady Bunch, Gilligan's Island, Munsters, Adam's Family, Beverly Hillbilly's, I Dream Of Genie, BeWitched, Gomer Pyle, and Green Acres(probably my fav from older 60s sitcoms. Show would crack me up as a kid.)
In the evenings - for sitcoms it was probably - Cheers, Night Court, Family Ties, Cosby Show, even some Newhart or Mama's Family, Silver Spoons, Facts of Life, Perfect Strangers, Who's the Boss, and Growing Pains. And going from lil kid to big kid there was Mork and Mindy, Jefferson's, 3's Company and Different Strokes. And from big kid into teens - shows like, Head of The Class, Golden Girls, Valerie, 227 and others I'm forgetting.

As a lil kid into big kid I watched some hour shows, but by teens I was mostly a sitcom person. Only hour long shows that stand out to me that I remember watching quite often, were BattleStar Galactica, Chips, Hulk, BJ and the Bear, Dukes of Hazzard, Wonder Woman, Simon and Simon, The Fall Guy, Hunter, Miami Vice, TJ Hooker, Magnum P.I., The Greatest American Hero, Charlie's Angels, Knight Rider, A-Team and Love Boat.
