Serious/Critical cases are at an all time high as well at 19,273....

Serious/Critical are the most important numbers to watch as the larger they get the more hospitals will be overrun which means the death toll will spike to unheard of numbers..

Right now there are many people at ER's waiting to get in, setting in their vehicles on oxygen/ventilator machines..

Hard lockdowns are overkill, but targeted closings and mask mandates are a must. Sucks for the restaurants, bars, fitness centers, party places, etc., but it is what it is.

150,000 new cases a day probably really means 500,000, or 3.5 million per week. At that rate, 10% of the country gets infected in the next couple months. Except that the rate is likely to increase. We're probably already close to 15%, so by the end of the year we'll be close to 25% having been infected. By the time we get a vaccine, herd immunity will be near, assuming that infection creates lasting immunity, which we still don't know.
