No... he's spot on actually. I realize the social distancing map is FAR from perfect. But you can definitely see patterns in certain regions. The map is going to be more reliable in regions that are geographically/population wise similar to each other. In places that are unique it's not going to be nearly as reliable.

Btw... it's not my map. It's FOX NEWS. Take it up with them.

yes I see a very large hole and flaw emerging in those who argued all of the following: Obama mismanaged H1N1, Covid19 is comparable to the Flu, Government/media is over-reacting to Covid19

If Obama "allowed" 12.5k to die over 18 months from a flu virus strain and Trump "allows" 12.5k to die from a virus in 5-6 weeks.

    Do we conclude that:

Covid19 is much worse than flu strains?
The media had reason to not over-react to H1N1?
Obama did a competent job of containing and reacting to H1N!?
The US is currently doing a horrible job of reacting to Covid19?

you can't believe all of those for sure.

to be fair, Wyoming and Idaho are pretty big exeptions to those stats. The trends in that data is worrying me to the extent that it doesn't bode well for the Rural and Southern areas in the next month plus.

and that means professional and college sports are going to continued to be delayed. The Big Sky country really matters very little in how our country and definately in how our major sporting leagues will react in the coming days

No the maps reflect how far people are traveling with their cell phones. The idea is that it will reflect how well areas are social distancing with heat maps.

That is why some of the data needs to be looked through the lens of how far people actually need to move to be encountering large #'s of accumulative people.

    Featured snippet from the web

Between the spring of 2009 and the spring of 2010, the virus infected as many as 1.4 billion people across the globe and killed between 151,700 and 575,400 people,

On Apr 3 you quoted someone saying
"A virus (H1N1) that infects 1.4 billion and kills 575,000 worldwide does NOT overwhelm our healthcare systems, but a virus that infects 1 million and kills 55,000 breaks everything?

I mean, do we really look this stupid? We aren't buying this."

Corona is now at 81000 deaths in a couple months. give it a year to catchup? It is more deadly for sure

So last year 37,000 Americans died from the common Flu. It averages between 27,000 and 70,000 per year. Nothing is shut down, life & the economy go on. At this moment there are 546 confirmed cases of CoronaVirus, with 22 deaths. Think about that!

I'm not saying the Grades are necessarily accurate... but let's just say there were an accurate way to actually grade a location... you wouldn't see the effects of the current grade for 2 to 3 weeks. So... it's therefore possible that your county was getting straights A's 2 to 3 weeks ago. The heavily populated areas with terrible grades right now will likely have terrible numbers 2 to 3 weeks from now. There's always going to be a 2 to 3 week lag. If I had to predict... I would bet places like Louisiana's grade 3 weeks ago would have been abysmal.

    1) You can't trust the CDC. Why, one might ask? Because no matter the true cause of death, if a patient tests positive for Covid-19, the death is attributed to Covid-19. You can be hit by a train but if you test positive for Covid, guess what your death is attributed to. So why the need to inflate the numbers? I get that states will want inflated numbers to try and get more federal monies. Cause they are all scum suckers.

    2) Countries such as Zimbabwe and Ethiopia do not have 1st world health care but they have very low Covid numbers and really low Covid deaths. But they do have high malaria numbers. Countries that don't have malaria have Covid. Countries that have malaria don't have much Covid.

    3) They have started to realize they have been treating this wrong. They have been treating for pneumonia, which is a secondary condition. It needs to be treated more along the malaria guidelines, as both the malaria parasite and the Covid virus attack the bodies ability to oxygenate cells.
