    Guy drowns after proposing marraige to his girlfriend underwater

    9/21/2019 - A Louisiana man has drowned after proposing to his girlfriend underwater while the couple was vacationing in Tanzania. Steven Weber and Kenesha Antoine were staying in Pemba Island, in a wooden cabin with a bedroom submerged beneath the ocean surface off the east coast of Africa.

    Weber proposed on Thursday by swimming underwater and holding a handwritten note against the bedroom windows. The note, which Weber had placed inside a transparent plastic bag, read, "I can't hold my breath long enough to tell you everything I love about you. BUT... Everything I love about you I love more EVERY DAY! Will you please be my WIFE? Marry me???"

    But Weber failed to return to the water surface.

    Sad story for sure. Not saying it isn’t. But I really don’t understand the thought process. WTF was this guy thinking? Let’s go vacation on the East Coast of Africa. Yeah, it’s not the safest place in the world but what the heck? I’ll pull an underwater stunt twenty feet down. Yeah, it’s not the safest thing to do but what the heck? I’ll propose marriage to a come dumpster. Yeah, she’s gone down on the entire Tanzanian soccer team but what the heck? What could possibly go wrong???

    I read about a place called the Manta Resort wonder if this was there. A double room is $1700 a night minimum 3 night stay. It does not look that far down if this was the place.

    Indeed, that is the place. Not that far down, but when you free dive and hold your breath, you can always black out. If nobody's with you, you drown.

    Yea and you have to take account of even if he got to the window fast how long it took her to see the message plus read it and give an answer. Sucks if the last think he saw was her shaking her head no.

    Just saw the video of him showing the note . He actually looked like he was heading back up normally ashame because it was not that far getting back up. A few said they thought maybe he just ran out of air up top and instead of air a wave of water hit him or something. If you look at the picture of the room it was not that far back up.
