    Pale Ale = Firestone
    IPA = Ballast Point Sculpin
    Lager = Heiniken
    Pilsner = best I ever had was Yuengling golden, can't get it on West Coast though Ehhhh, Miller Lite is O.K. I guess
    Stout = Guinness. The only one I can stomach
    Mexican = Pacífico. If you say "Corona", you need to stop drinking beer.
    Asian = I like Asahi because it's different. Hite is O.K. too

    Finally, beer is fine on it's own. If you need "flavorings" in it like "Mango Chipotle" or "Raspberry Passion Fruit" then you're either a chick or a child.....

    Good call on the Younger but it’s only available 2 weeks a year.

    With so many breweries and taphouses local to me in Western Washington I don't do national brands much at all anymore. Favorite local is Skookum Brewery (Murder of Crows) and outside of Washington it's Belching Beaver (PB milk stout) and Maui Brewing Co (Coconut porter).

    Uerige Alt is, hands down, the greatest beer in the world and yes, it is available in the States.

    I say this as a former brewery owner, wholesaler and from a family w over 80 years in the beer business.

    Some other great tasting and refreshing nationally available beers:

    Redhook Blonde
    Bittberger
    Weinhards Private Reserve
    Sapporo
    Murphys Stout
    Zwick (Polish)

    I tend to believe IPAs and hoppy beers are inferior as they hide the finer artistic points of a fine pint. Beer should be refreshing, deliscious and crisp, not heavy and overly bitter.

    My former head brewmaster Richard Steuven has a great resource called "BeerMe.com" check it out! I think one of my beers, Princess of Darkness, a Porter, made his top 20 list!

    Bell's and Victory make the best variety of beers imo. Bell's Two-Hearted for IPA and Victory Dirtwolf for double IPA are my favorites, but you can't go wrong with any of them.

    Great Lakes Eliot Ness Amber Lager is great; I can't find it a lot though. I like Southern Tier Creme Brulee Stout for a dark beer.

    Don't know if Troegs is available other than in Southern PA but their Perpetual IPA is my favorite beer.

    How do you taste anything w all those hops thou? Your mouth must feel like cotton afterwards.

    There was a brewery in Minneapolis about 20 years ago, James Page, that made a deliscious Vienna style lager and won a few awards w it.

    They went belly up but that was a very fine dark lager. Great malts flavors, subtle hops.

    Victory puts hair on your chest, great brew.

    I'm an IPA snob so if you want a list of some elite ones I'll bother.

    If you're going to buy Bud light we have nothing to talk about.

    Theres something to this...

    Get the tour in Golden and take a glass of Banquet out of the tank....its deliscious. It loses a lot of its appeal thru the pasteurization process but its yummy fresh

    This beer is very good.

    High alcohol content.

    Only downside is like 220 calories per can.
