Okay, so I have a little bit of a dilemma and need some advice from someone who has BTC and banking experience. Here is the situation:
I was recently trying to offload some of my bitcoin on localbitcoin.com. I opened up a bunch of different selling options but they all ended up being canceled because no one was reliable/able to pay me via zelle. It took a while but I finally sold off what I wanted in much smaller transactions.
Fast forward a day and all of a sudden I get a random $1,500 zelle payment from a name I don't recognize. I have no pending trades on any bitcoin website and have had no messages.
Do I keep the money and just wait it out to see what happens or do I go to my bank and tell them I got this money and don't know who sent it. I currently bank through wells fargo and have been told they close accounts and do not like to be affiliated with bitcoin.
The flip side of this is that I am very strapped for cash and am tempted to take my chances.
Would appreciate any advice.
