I ski about 10 times a season and have been doing this since I was 4 years old. Being from the northeast i learnd how to ski in Vermont at mountains like Stratton, Okemo, and Killington, which were fine but northeast skiing isn't even comparable to west coast. The temps/ wind can get so brutal you end the day at noon or don't even bother. They are great mountains to learn on though if you have kids.

I usually go on 2-3 west coast trips each year with my good buddies. Two of them have a house in Park City which was very clutch come high school. Deer Valley, Alta, Snowbird are all awesome and the night life (eventhough you are in prude Utah land) is hard to beat as far as ski towns go. I remember years ago they had a "strip club" with girls in bikinis on the main drag called the monkey bar. The mormons got rid of that though.

Jackson Hole is my favorite mountain to ski It is beautiful and you really are in such a remote location as one mentioned in the tetons. They get an insane amount of snow each year and have some very challenging trails / bowls. Corbetts nearly killed me one time for those familiar with the mtn. They have some classic ski town bars. Million Dollar Cowboy Bar may be one of the oldest most unique ski bars in the country and always has a good crowd if you go during the right time. Great apres ski options like the mangy moose with live music each day when you finish up.

Whistler is my second favorite. Partially bc I spent a few days in Vancouver, which was one of the coolest cities I have ever been too. Reminded me of an upscale Seattle minus the bums. Tons of snow and just unbelievable scenery and trails.

    Others high on my list:

Big Sky....you are literally in the middle of nowhere Montana but the mountain is great and I felt like we were one of a 100 ppl maybe skiing it when i went. No lift lines. Perfect conditions minus the lack of apres ski locations and non existent night life.

Sun Valley....just a beauty of a place. I have been there more in the summer than the winter. The hiking and skiing are great. There's a reason so many celebrities have homes out there.

Tahoe....Heavenly and Kirkwood are great and the whole vibe of being right on the lake is hard to beat. Add in a pretty legit casino and us degens have a blast. Good bachelor party spot.

Going to Banff in 3 weeks if anyone has any good suggestions/ tips it would be appreciated.

Tahoe by far. There's legit a casino on the bottom of the ski mountain. Jackson hole / park city are probably the best apres ski / bar scene imo.

If you're an expert skier, Jackson Hole. Awesome double black diamonds everywhere.

If you're an advanced adult skier, Sun Valley. Incredible high speed groomers, no lift lines.

If you're a nightlife skier, Aspen. Babes galore.
