Will internet sports forums even be needed by next year due to legalized betting

Not much need for internet sportsbooks anymore it seems.

The only hope for internet sportsbooks is that with legalized betting maybe that will get more people into sports betting and thus new blood to offshore

Not sure if the prizes get lowered, but this could easily be the last year of BTP as we know it now.

Maybe legalized sports betting will actually make it easier to send cash offshore

Why would bettors suddenly stop wanting to discuss sports & wagering amongst each other

I don’t think you understand how big the top sports books are at SBR it is absolutely staggering and a lot of it is not USA

The pool they have from all over the globe is just too hard to compete with where legal US shops only have one state

Sites like sbr only going to get bigger not smaller

They are not worried about a couple hundred people from each state not playing there anymore my God you guys are real Rookies

Offshore sports books would love to get rid of small accounts that’s not where the money is , plus these clowns looking for $100 withdrawals it takes up too much time and fees .

Places like bookmaker make more money than major companies on the stock market and it’s not from $20 bettors at sbr

    Get rid of the ants

    Because:

    1. Offshore isnt going anywhere for several reasons such as many states won't legalize or take forever to do so, the deals will be better offshore, etc.
Even Legal 'experts' have pointed this out.

    2. Who's to say that SBR won't create an identical forum which includes Legal books as sponsors in the future?

I lived in Vegas for two years and in the beginning I was like a little kid playing at the apps and I realize I’m a sucker plus every time your empty you have to go to the sports book to deposit and withdraw very inconvenient

End of story most of my plays were offshore when in Vegas as are many others end of thread

    This is a joke, right?

The international online sportsbook market is not made or broken with US players.

Seriously guys, wtf? US players aren't even allowed to bet at some of the largest ones and the others are absolutely top notch.

Money is international folks, the exchanges will not die.

My posts/threads go back many years saying that Legalized sports betting was coming.

Several posters always laughed & said it would never happen.

Now many of the same guys & types of posters are saying that forums will become extinct.

There are sooo many reasons Offshore will still take in U.S. bettors.

Only a few states are offering legal betting so far.

Some will never even get around to it.

The bettors in states that dont offer it will still play.

Also consider that legalization brings the hobby into the spotlight.

    With that comes new players.

New players eventually find offshore offering -105 and a $1,000 bonus while the legal book offers -110 and nada.

    It's tit for tat.

Some players will prefer the conveniece of playing local & legal.

While others will prefer the much better bargain.

With legalization across states comes the ease & ability to move funds.

I assure you Offshore books will find a way to take advantage of this as time goes on.
