Airplane geek’s ultimate retirement home: Former engineer spent $220,000 on a Boeing 727 so he could park it in Oregon woodland and turn it into his dream bachelor pad - and he doesn't mind that it's a little rough around the edges
In 2003, Bruce Campbell purchased a decommissioned Boeing 727-400 for a whopping $220,000
The retired engineer had the plane transported from Greece to outside of Portland where it sits on 10 acres
Campbell, who has never been married and has no kids, sleeps on a futon and offers tours of the aircraft
