I learned through google translate and practiced in real world situations. Every time I needed or had the opportunity to say something I looked it up used it. Eventually I learned enough to put together sentences without it, I still use it but only to look up words I have not had to use before. Also having someone you associate with who speaks spanish is great for practice and to learn the little details on how to use words properly or in the most common way.

I know you said online, but this worked for me. After a couple months of practicing I feel like I could go to mexico and be able to get around with very little english.

You need to speak write and read every day. I can also recommend using a flashcard software like Anki.

Don't learn Mexican Spanish...they fukk up the actual language with that dialect.

Take a few classes at your local community college man. Or go out and get yourself a liberal arts education like me .
