I know I'm fairly new here and will likely get ripped a new one for not even being a Pro. I bet local only but enjoy coming on the forum to see college bball and hockey picks from some handicappers with a nice track record, also to get advice on money management. Between the picks, advice, and arguments it certainly gets interesting on here which is why I keep coming back.
However I feel like there's no structure to the forum. What is the point of having The Saloon when 50% of the posts in Players talk should be there. I was under the impression that Players Talk is for pick threads, game discussion, and brainstorming, etc. Lately it's become just another Saloon. As an example the last 5 posts are about Leonardo Dicapro, Trump, Russia, Hotels, and a guy with pain in his rib cage. If you click back on recent pages you'll see this is an ongoing trend.
I feel like this site and forum in particular could be more beneficial if given a structure and actually maintained by Moderators. If this is the way you all want it to be after all these years then so be it. But the clutter and randomness of posts in Players Talk are hurting it's credibility. I know this is ironic because this post isn't about a pick or sports at all, but not sure how else to get through to y'all. So I guess I'm asking are moderators supposed to be separating/deleting posts to prevent clutter, repeat posts (almost one in 5 are about trump), and other things leading to the organization issues with the forum? Or is this the way it's meant to be?
Make Players Talk Great Again.
