out of all the real old bands, the Doobie Brothers
still sound most like they did in the 70s.

Saw the Dobbies last year with Journey. IMO they sound nothing like they used to, but I have always associated them with Michael Mcdonald's voice

that was just a phase they went through. He kinda took over the band's sound
for a while. They were big a decade before he joined, but of course there are
some who prefer that era of their repertoire.

believe it or not the biggest reunion tour is in 2018 and it's ABBA.
expected to book over a billion dollars worldwide.

I saw Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers somewhere between around 1988 and 1991.
Have to say I was impressed at the time how good they were. I didn't think they would
be as good live. Two other acts I thought would suck live but were great was Bob Dylan
around 1993 and Kiss in 1997. They were both killer.

I've seen Dylan ten times since 96 and his concerts are very hit and miss. But when he's on, or more so actually trying, he puts on a great show.

"turns out that the early reports were wrong... all wrong. Now for that group out there that had such a hard time getting home, sorry about that. I guess the only thing we can do is play you a song..."

Joe Walsh is awesome. I'm going to see Tom petty and him Jun 7th.

My concert schedule so far should include Depeche Mode (3), Stabbing Westward, The 1975, Everclear, Garbage, Blondie, RHCP, Roger Waters, Lolla(?), Green Day
looking good. RHCP is one my favorites. It sucks their show is only 19 or 20 songs when they could fill 3 hours with hits.

I'm thinking about GNR in St. Louis in July. Can anyone approve or disapprove of the current tours? Appreciate the input.

GNR should be awesome. I saw AC/DC last year with Axl doing lead and he killed it. His voice is still good.

Saw The Offspring and Sublime w/ Rome last year at one of Irvine Meadows last shows. Definitely a fun show. Rocket from the Crypt also played which was fukkin awesome.

RE: Ed Sheeran - I would prefer not to see artists like this, but I try to keep an open mind. My kids like live music so we take them to see some shows. I went to see Lukas Graham a few months ago which was pretty terrible, but whatever. It beats sitting at home posting on SBR.

I've gone to many concerts of bands I don't particularly like but they may have song or two. I have tickets to 21 pilots now and they have a few songs I like, though I'm not sure about the rest of the show. And I'm going to Billy Joel also which is just awesome imo.

after seeing that I think I might give up my bruno mars ticket to someone who can appreciate it more lol
