    Good question. Most steak houses use Ken's Dressing and that is the same stuff you can buy in the grocery store, but they do end up tasting different for some reason.

    I'll still put Worcester sauce on a good cut, or dip it in chimichurri sauce.

    Then again, I don't love the taste of beef. A $400 steak would be wasted on me.

    I don't put A-1, it's too strong, and I don't like the taste of it.

    rare and no steak sauce. i would never order a steak from a shitty/half ass joint, just isnt worth it. they always mess up the order, you ask for rare they give you medium, you ask for medium they give you well done.

    I don't know what grocery stores you guys are going to but I could go to walmart and find a steak that doesn't need sauce. Krogers does just fine for me and they have grassfed beef.

    Steak sauce can be great but A1 is crap. Steak diane is real steak sauce.

    everyone pretty much knows you'd never put a-1 on any decent steak.... only use it if you're dealing with a terribly broiled sirloin or some shitty cut....

    on the other hand, try getting a small side of bernaise or hollandaise to dip your top end filet or ribeye into, just a small bit for a little additional flavor.....

    I came home at noon and threw two racks of pork ribs in the oven at 230 degrees, let em go for just at five hours, now tossing em on the grill for 20 mins to "brown" em up a bit.... used a damn good rub on em designed for pork, typical spicy and sweet, about to feast here in 20 mins.....

    I like A1... I like Lea and Pearrin's steak sauce as well. In a nicer place , I like a little foie gras, or maybe bearnaise, or plain. All good.
