Same thing I was thinking when I read post #36. It’s always “throw more money at it”, its always “you are handing them enough money”. The liberal cities throw the most money at the problem and end up with the worst results. Oftentimes, throwing more money at it is not the solution to the problem, it is the problem.

If they are only getting 20 hours a week get a second job. I’m not saying life’s easy but that don’t mean just give up and become a parasite.

I never been to Seattle but what do the mayor or city council do to fix the problem....is there organizations to help the homeless off the street?

I always wanted to visit but may have to scratch that off the list

Seattle has this. Several areas in fact. One of them, called THE JUNGLE is now being shut down because of all the crime, drugs, rats, shit, and just all around nastiness and disease. It seems these people are too lazy to even keep their own campsite clean. They would just shit all over it and leave it. THE JUNGLE is being shut down because its so dangerous the police don’t even want to enter. Recently it made headlines when a homeless woman took her 2 minor children into the jungle to buy/steal drugs and the children ended up being killed. ( True Story ).

Two people were recently killed there but your version of the story is complete BS.

The King County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the dead Wednesday as James Q. Tran, 33, and Jeannine L. Zapata, 45. Both died of multiple gunshot wounds, the medical examiner said.

why would you go downtown? Unless you work or live downtown or are showing people from out of town the city, no one who lives in Seattle really hangs out in downtown. I maybe go into downtown a few times a month. But the city is big enough and the best places to go are not downtown.

Yeah ur right. My version was wrong as I didn’t know the story 100%, but the true facts aren’t 1% better.

The boys’ tent lay underneath a highway overpass, as does The Jungle. And all three of the teens were supposed to be in state protective custody when the shooting took place.
“The lawlessness of The Jungle created the environment for this mass shooting,” King County Prosecuting Attorney Dan Satterberg said during a Thursday press conference, according to Fox 13.
According to police, the boys were already being investigated in connection with previous robberies and another fatal shooting in October when they set off to collect their mother’s debt.
On their mother’s 37th birthday, the older boys allegedly told their mother that they were planning to do a “lick,” or robbery, on a drug dealer known as Phats,
Their mother also has a criminal history including identity theft and shoplifting from a Goodwill store, according to the Associated Press. She completed drug court in 2008 after an arrest four years earlier for selling crack cocaine, the Times reported
So Mommy sold drugs to some people living in the jungle who fked her out of the money, then she allowed her sons ( ages 13,16 and 17) to leave their tent underneath a highway overpass to go into the jungle and kill 2 people and injure 3 others while trying to collect mommy’s drug money.
Shit sounds so much better now.

    From Wikipedia

From 2011 to 2016, the area was the site of at least 750 incidents responded to by the Seattle Fire Department, of which 500 times were emergency medical situations

Than why don't you move to the suburbs and raise your kids. Every fuking city in America is like that. If it bothers you move to the country. Dam.

Yep Vancouver is a beautiful place with some of the hottest white chicks in the world but full of east indians and chinese. I have friends of all races up there but what pisses of the whites is a place like Richmond where you drive around and everything is in chinese.

Philly has professional homeless people. They stand at red lights and pan handle. Some in decent clothes and good shoes, expecting dollars from random cars. I don't even look at them. One guy in front of Sugar House casino had a sign that said, "Give me a dollar, get lucky". Like giving some hoodlum a buck increase your odds at the card table. I give them credit, at least they have an angle

Thats the reason liberal shithole cities like SF and Seattle have so many homeless, they hear about all this money being spent on "fighting homelessness" and "investing in the homeless community" so they flock here trying to get in on the action. When I lived in Dallas/Fort Worth the homeless problem was a fraction of what it was in Seattle despite Seattle spending much more money on "combatting homelessness"

I walk 1.5 miles to and from work everyday and have learned to avoid the spots where the aggressive panhandlers are. Specifically 3 spots - There is a Dick's in Lower Queen Anne on 1st Avenue and since that place is cash only, the panhandlers camp out at the entrance. If you walk by and don't give them money they will harrass you and follow you down the street screaming at you. Another is a Rite Aid on 3rd Avenue where the same group of homeless people every day sit outside the entrance on buckets and panhandle/harrass. Then in Seattle Center on the North Side of Key Arena by the reflecting pool a group sits around. Oh and there is an indy movie theatre right across from the Dick's on 1st Avenue in Lower Queen Anne where the group of homeless people loiter on the street corner there and are literally territoral - they will guard their "area" and threaten you if you step into it, which is hard since its a public sidewalk. One time a guy was sick of their shit, but the homeless people got the free popcorn the cuck movie theatre gave them and threw it on the guy and birds attacked him like in Home Alone 2.

They have pimps... its all organized, no different than prostitution. There are pimps who control certain areas for the panhandling racket. They rotate people in and out of areas, I've seen it, they get dropped off in nice cars and get shuttled around to different locations. Stop giving these fuckers money, it only enables it all. They don't really need the money and aren't really homeless.

My least favorite thing is the panhandlers who use their kids as props for sympathy. I see it everywhere, they have signs that say "single mother/father, homeless, hungry..." with their kid with them. One time it was pouring out rain and cold and yet these fuckers were still out there getting drenched in the cold with their kid. I guess they view that as the optimal time to get the most money from sympathy.

No I haven't but ranker.com Has researched it and put out a list of top 1o cities with worst homeless problem. None of the cities you named are on the list.

    #1 NEW YORK
    #2 LOS ANGELES
    #3 SEATTLE

And as you know, NY and LA are much much larger cities than Seattle, so for its size Seattle has the worst problem. Many people have named San Fransisco as having a huge homeless population, but according to ranker Seattle has double the homeless population despite having a smaller overall population so if SF is bad that just shows you how bad Seattle is.

Agree 100% at least with Seattle you have to dodge homeless people not bullets. I lived most of my life in the Northeast and those cities are pure hell on earth compared to Seattle. Get over it. I wish I could afford to live in Seattle I have always heard it's a great city.

I met up with a friend who used to live in Seattle for a couple of years, and he confirmed everything you all are saying.

He also said that everyone dumps anything and everything into the Puget Sound. I was looking at these sweet Kayaking tours there. The ads made it look really clean!
