A full weekend of fishing (Fri evening to Sun Morning) is now in the book, and DonkLand is pleased to submit the following video of our Friday evening haul of specs and one keeper red....


Without giving it much thought, I forwarded the video above to the better half, back in H-town, about 140-150 miles away, and proceeded to receive a bundle of nasty texts from an obviously unhappy missus at the introductions made to Theresa, the neighbor babe sporting a lower back tat and large fake rack.....

needless to say, the video showing the Saturday Morning haul (below) was shot at a time when our sun bathing horned up neighbor broads were up on the third deck catching rays, well above our ground level fish cleaning.....

still, a nice haul of trout, five of the specs were mine (daily bag limit is five):

plus, if you can fry fish like I can, you'll swear off fried fish in restaurants, as that greazy shit hardly compares to my fare.....

the fishing trip was down in Matagorda, we were staying at a friend's place down on the Colorado River, at one of the many three-story new-builds on that road heading down to the beach, right next to the river.... (as a side note, the lots alone on that road, with nothing on them, sell for 3.5x the value of Bobby Waves' shanty in Trenton, NJ--just over $150k.....)

I'm living in n.w. houston, off 249/spring cypress, Lakewood Forrest area -- pretty much the burbs.... used to live in the Bayou Lofts downtown, before getting remarried and moving to the burbs

Nice, I have a buddy who is a guide on East Matty who I like to hit up as often as possible for trips. Good times.

caught these in the vid in east bay, half on midbay reefs, drifting, and the other half near protected shorelines on a few reefs we have marked on the boats gps near shore

some on live shrimp, i caught a few on slammin' chicken soft platics; we hit the surf midday saturday for about twenty whiting and four big mackerel on silver spoons...... morning, noon, and evening trips.... wears a person the fuk out

damn I wish I could remember the names of this swinger couple from lake jackson, she was a hot-ass blonde with one of the funnest attitudes ever..... as for him, I couldn't describe one thing about him or pick him out of a lineup even if a million dollars was on the line.....

years ago I thought about moving my practice to galveston, just so I could fish the surf before going into work on days when it was calm and "green" to the shore..... silver spoons and nortons sand eels always produced easy limits on those types of days......

all summer I'll be watching for those light s-e winds that produce that surf, and will try to do the early morning run to just south of the seawall, load up, and get back in the office by 10:30-11 am..... if I lived in Galv, I could be in the office by 9

Yeah I'm about 15 mins from Surfside Beach and the trout are starting to show up here. The Asian folks are catching them off the Freeport jetties right now. Going to be in Vegas for Memorial Day weekend, but I expect the surf to be producing at full force when I get back.

fished surfside a time or two; we usually rent a house on Jamiaca Beach or at Sea Isle for a week each summer, and I pound the trout either right near the house or head down to san luis pass; if windy hit the back side of san luis, if calm the surf.....

will be watching the surf for sure.... feel free to give me a heads up if you know the conditions are going to be right, and I may head down there.... my cousin and I (he's "rick" in the videos) usually hit the trout hard til around 8-8:30, then fill up the rest of the ice box with a load of whiting out of the second gut on fresh dead shrimp....

as for the pervs on the site who were more interested in "Theresa" than my fish.... here are a couple of the still shots from the first vid above...... my wife was far more interested in just wtf theresa was doin in the video than my fish, for sure.....
