    Comcast Xfinity Internet

I have had XFinity Comcast internet for the last two years. The first year I was paying the promo rate of $20 a month. Last year they bumped me up to $30 a month. And my speed is Performance which is about 25mps.

I go to look up my bill last month and it says I owe now $50. I call in to them and tell them that I can't pay that. Put me at least back to $30. They say they can't do it. My price was going to be $50 and then go up to $67 after a few more months even. I told them to cancel me. So they cancel my bill. These idiots had scheduled a deactivation but the tech didn't show up the day they scheduled so my internet was left on for a full week later.

After it was finally shut off , I was simply going to sign up as a new customer and use my ex's wife name. But I decided to see if I could sign up with my own name again and just use a different email. And it worked! I signed up literally a day after my internet was shut off (although it had been over a week since I had officially cancelled my account) and I was able to sign up for another 12 month promo rate of $30.

I thought they kept your name and SSN on file somewhere so that you couldn't be considered a "new customer" but I guess they don't do that anymore.

So if they raise your price, just cancel and sign up again new. The only thing I had to pay again was the 9.99 activation fee.

I was going to cancel and go to UVerse and get their promo but it's not available at my address for some reason. Another way to save on internet is to go back and forth every other year between Xfinity and UVerse's 12 month promo rates.

Comcast is one of the hardest providers to negotiate with after a promo has run out.

You did the next best thing.

Wowway.com is a provider in Michigan area... their running a promo $25.00 for 30mb right now. They charge $50.00 for install... but you can always tell them to waive the installation fee. Customer support always does this for me.

Also, AT&T you can get around $25.00 right now... but that may involve a contract? Not to sure?

    Keep bragging tough guy

Comcast is relaxing one of the eligibility requirements for its low-cost Internet access program, Internet Essentials. With the change, more Americans who are in poverty will be able to sign up for the company's $10-a-month broadband program.
Under a back-to-school promotion running from now until Sept. 20, new Internet Essentials subscribers will get six months of free Internet access. In addition, those who were previously Comcast customers but were barred from signing up for Internet Essentials because they owed the company money for other services will now be able to subscribe to Internet Essentials — provided that their outstanding bill is more than a year old.

Low-income customers who have an outstanding balance less than a year old will still be able to apply for the program, which offers speeds of 5 Mbps, if they meet the other eligibility requirements, but they'll have to pay off their balance first. The company said Monday that paying in installments would be an option.

Bobby, how did you prove to Comcast that you were in "poverty"? It says the speed is only 5mbps. I believe that is their economy internet which retails on a promo rate of 19.99 a month for regular customer.

So you are getting $10 off a month from their slowest speed by claiming to be in "poverty". If you don't need to stream things then you probably can get by with that speed but everyone else in this thread is getting a faster connection and thus paying more.

My stepson brought a internet flyer home from school one day, he used to be on school lunch program before becoming a member of my family. He went off program when living with me. But since he was once on the program, I assume that's why flyer was mistakenly sent home. I was only asked for the names of my stepson & school while applying, no income questions.

My download speed is 12 mbps, no buffering while streaming Lisa Ann. Upload speed is 1.2 mbps, & rarely upload. These speeds are fine for my needs. Many people who pay more are paying for higher speeds they may want, but really don't need.

You dont know what people need Bobby, dont even make a comment on it, you look stupid.

And I don't mind paying $30/month You act as if that's a lot of money. I tip more than that on pretty much every friday and saturday night

Squares keep high balances offshore Bobby, you know that.

I know of two people here that use offshore books for high balances, but not for reasons you would ever guess. For them, its brilliant.

So no, we won't be comparing sportsbook balances

If you really want to make it real, post a picture of your dick with measurements, I'll do the same. Gamelive rules, meaning post a pic of it in a TP roll so we can get an idea of girth.

Of course, as a broke dikk like you has nothing to compare.

    Poor Bobby

Tried bragging about $10 internet and it turns out your on the charity plan for low income earners, and you call someone making six figures a broke dikk fukk.

Cliff Notes: Bobby pays $10/month for internet because he's broke

    Again:
Comcast is relaxing one of the eligibility requirements for its low-cost Internet access program, Internet Essentials. With the change, MORE AMERICANS WHO ARE IN POVERTY will be able to sign up for the company's $10-A-MONTH broadband program.

Keep lying about the reasons you get $10 internet and your welfare lifestlye.

It's explicitly written," $10 internet is for broke dikk fukks" on the Xfinity website.

You had to prove you live below poverty and apparently you did. So congrats, I'll pay my $30 and be happy I can afford to dote on the mrs

I have a PING rate in my area at 7-8 ms with Comcast. If you have a ping rate that low... a 3mb download speed would be sufficient enough for PS3 gaming... movie downloads... and live streaming. It all depends on the ping rate.

Everyone knocking Bobby. But honestly... Comcast is a bullsh#$ company. They don't help anyone out... if you can take advantage of them... go ahead.

My mbps is 53, although it's supposed to be 75. I have the triple package, everything they offer tv and internet wise and 2 phone lines for work. I used to pay $271 for the longest time but now am down to $183 month with the elimination of HBO and some other bullshit stations I get thru the Amazon Stick (for free). Comcast does REALLY SUCK, by I live in rural land and other than a satellite dish, I have no choice.

Your jealousy is quite evident. Keep lying about making 6 figures, when you can't afford a measly $100 donation to support this site with pro status. Cheap broke dikk.

If I was on welfare as you ignorantly claim, I wouldn't be carrying a 70k balance. Welfare recipients surely would have already cashed out for $3,571.42 worth of gift cards.

I feel sorry for your situation. Not having a full selection of providers sucks when it's time to negotiate. No one should be paying more than $85.00 a month for TV/Internet. I have DirecTV for TV and WOWWay for my Internet. I always switch back and forth for Internet with WOWWay and Comcast. I get the Internet for about $20.00 a month.

It also sucks that you need a landline... Providers rob you on that to.

My Comcast stats aren't very impressive when paying $9.95, but it's still plenty fast enough for my needs. I'm even running Amazon FireTv off internet connection, with no buffering: http://results.speedtest.comcast.net...1028821964.png

Exactly.... A mistake was made. Flyer sent home from school, probably because stepson previously qualified. I called expecting to be denied, but Comcast gave me the low rate.

I was overpaying with Verizon Fios for many years, with their lightning fast speeds I didn't need or want. So taking advantage of a $9.95/month qualifying mistake by Comcast, I feel is overdue justice.

I'd take those speed results any day for $10.00 a month. Nothing wrong with it.

Sh#$... we were paying $39.99 a month for AOL back in 1995 for Phone modem speed. What a joke that was.

Yeah, that was a rip off...But now I'm saving well over $200/month on both internet & TV, after giving Directv & their over priced sports packages the boot in favor of FireTv at $0/month.

One thing we can agree upon, Comcast is the worst company in the world. Can't even begin to describe my hate for them. I hope the CEO had a terrible Christmas and has an even worse f'ing 2016.
