    Amazon TV stick

Just ordered it today at a discounted price.

Anyone know anything about it and the best things to use it for?

I'm not very good with technology and I usually like to keep things simple... Any input would be helpful.

It's pretty easy to use. We've had ours for a while. We got it just so we could watch Bosch, but have used it to watch a lot of other tv series too.

Is there a way for it to be used as a way to replace cable?

Depends on what you want to watch. If you want to watch live sports, then no. But if you're just into movies and tv series that have already aired, you might be ok.

I heard Roku was the best thing out now. I second that.

I have a PS3 that can stream Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Prime.

I just bought a $150 Chromebook with an HDMI port. Stream sports thru the free European Sites and hook the Chromebook up thru the HDMI to my TV so I don't have to watch them on the Chromebook. Really the only thing I am giving up with not having cable is the ability to pause and rewind live events. That's all. And I can live with that.

I'm not missing directv at all. Got rid of it 4 weeks ago and haven't regretted it once. Any sports, movies, TV shows I can find on the net and stream them thru to my tv. Some of the streaming sites aren't the best quality but it's clear enough to see what is going on. Beats payin 80-100 a month.
