    Who amongst us likes OYSTERS?

These things have become one of my favorite foods. Raw is excellent with the correct freshness and a fine horseradish and cocktail sauce available. The real treat though, has come from charbroiled oysters. I had these at CASAMENTOS in New Orleans back in January and I was blown away. The taste of garlic butter and the grilled oysters with cheese is really hard to beat.

Not had a bad one so love em almost any way they come.

Fresh shucked with lemon, salt and pepper along with some prawns and beer is about my favorite appetizer for a summer bbq.

Gulf oysters the best. Get them from Louisiana or Apalachicola. Apalachicola are the best imo.

charbroiled can be excellent.... if done right.... brock, have a dozen of em at Drago's, either the one in Metarie or the one at the base of the hilton across the street from Harrah's......

drago's is the gold standard for charbroiled oysters, most all others don't compare

acme oyster house and Felix' in the quarter during the "R" months are awesome.... fresh shucked in front of your face..... dip em in the sauce you make yourself.... 2/3 to 3/4 ketchup, a pinch or two of horseradish and fresh squeezed lemon to fill up the "sauce cup", mix it, dunk oyster in it, put it on a cracker or eat it without.... hard to beat!

West coast oysters are good. I have only had them raw on a half shell.

A place here in Florida puts cheddar, chopped garlic, bacon, & jalapeņo on a half shell and roasts them. They're to die for
