need to know size of room it will be in. and how far away you plan to view it. feeling here it is too big for any kind of a normal size room.

For the price of one 80" you can get 4 50"s and look like an even bigger baller.

That's my problem. I have a 65 right now, (mounted on wall), however the viewing distance is far 14 feet, (couch to tv), which is why I need the bigger one.

Best buy has a Samsung 75 LED, for $2400.

man 14 feeet away a 75 might not even look that big from that far away. You may wana consider going the projector route.Ive seen homes with huge rooms and big ass tv's on the wall but that far back its still hard to really see the details like a hockey puck or whos carrying the football.

    also this is spot on,

projectors > every TV out there minus 4k.

75" is way too small at 14 feet away. don't go any less than 85"-90" at that distance.

Thanks for all the input guys.

Yes, ive been leaning 80 inches now. Best Buy just doesnt have any 80's on floor. The five inches will make a big difference from 14 feet.

The 4k's are an additional $1000-$1200. Prob well worth it...

with the newer sets dont they say to sit CLOSER to the tv?? at least the 4ks i swear they recommend being closer to see the high quality your paying for....doesnt matter for you i suppose if its on an LED but something to think about in a few years when you splash for the 4k UHD sets.....

4k live tv is still a few years away. Better off with oled. Cable companies are not telling us we will have 4k by a concrete date. 4K is technology for future

Ok boys here what it comes too:

    75inch Samsung for $1500
    or
    79inch LG 4K for $3700
    -
Ive yet to see a 4k in person, but $1500 is dirt cheap for a 75incher
