    Anybody here a server at a restuarant?

    Used to do this about 10 years ago

    back when the economy was booming

    some nights i made $200 in a 4 hour shift

    is it still worth doing?

    or if not whats a better gig if u want a job and want to make fast cash?

    please no responses such as sell my sperm, sell drugs, or be a male prostitute.

    just need a job to get some gambling money quick

    I have many friends in the industry from pubs to fine dining. If you want to read a great blog about servers in the trenches and the mofos they have to wait on...read this guy http://www.thebitterwaiter.com/ He's a gay diva-ish server in a Mexican restaurant with an affinity for all drinks alcohol.     many years ago I served and bartended for a short while. even though I generally dislike people, it wasn't bad. decent money. I've had way shittier jobs for far less pay.

    Yes I am. Just at a local diner. I make roughly 100-140 per day. 5 Days a week. But 7 hour shifts...still not bad.
