    Would you leave America forever for 10 million dollars tax free

    They had a focus group of average Americans and they posed this question. It was fox so I am sure many will be flaming fox but on this one I have to agree. Here is the exact question......

    You have to leave America in one week and never come back. You can bring anyone you want with you, would you go for Ten million dollars tax free? About 7 of 20 raised their hands and these idiot announcers were surprised that SO MANY did. I couldn't believe how few did.

    First of all if it wasn't just an exercise and it wasn't on TV the number would have been about 18/20. Secondly how are these news people so far out of touch that they think 7/20 is high?

    James, there are plenty of safe much nicer places around the world where you can live like a king with that kind of money.
    I don't see a reason why people would pass on this opportunity.

    Well said RR and Cuse!....I would move to Greece (my mom lives there along with some of my other family) and I've already got a condo over there that is already paid off...It's only about a half block from the beach!......I'm planning on going over there when I retire!......and I will be able to book with Pinny!....

    Some truly fantastic responses in this thread thanks !! I was sitting there watching and then news anchor is shocked only 13 of 20 would stay . She has this "how could seven leave America!!!!" Look in her stupid face. I was thinking are these anchors out of touch with reality?? The real number if we out an over under up would be 18 or 18.5 out of 20

    I love this country BUT I'd leave in a heartbeat if I got this offer.... Canada, Australia, England, Belize (and many more!) lots of viable options where English is still the language and my newly found $10-mil could buy me a very comfortable (retired!) life.

    I'd absolutely do it. In America, if I make $1000 in forex, I keep $610. In Belize/Caymans/Hong Kong, I make $1000, I keep $1000. I've been planning a future exit strategy for awhile now.

    They asked the same question 100 years ago of Europeans, and they chopped off 3 digits.

    Right before World War I, people would leave for the USA forever for 10,000 and it was a great decision at that time for themselves and their descendants.

    Now, I leave for Asia for that amount.
