Nothing is ever going to beat the sopranos as the best HBO show ever made. Oz was awesome too. All these new shows are not that good. I miss the 90's HBO.

its started of slow slow but its picking up and getting better with every episode. that last 6-7 min continuous shot at the end was AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!

If he did this do you think they would let him use a knife in the interview and give him alcohol. And I also never thought HBO would have a show better then the Sopranos or Dead Wood but this show is in that league. Very well done. Right now there is no TV show close to it. WAY better then Breaking Bad.

I agree but the biker club scene leading into the robbery turned shootout scene was one of the best moments of a tv series ever....I would stack it up against pretty much anythinglol calm down yall

McConaughey is the best in that show. Especially last night
Cinematography and the 6 minute single shot at end when Rust is escaping the ghetto was amazing. Adam Arkapaw is the same cinematographer tht worked on the Auzzie movies Animal kingdom (terrific film starring Joel Edgerton) and The Snowtown Murders interestingly.

That episode last night with the bikers and drug deal was awesome. Best episode of any show I've seen in the last few years. The directing and acting was bad ass.
amazing show. i love how at first, harrellson's character was so hesitant to accept rust's point of views. but now he's changing. above being a 'cop show', its a study of men.

Finished season 3 today, wow...all timer. Right up there with Season 4 & 5/6 of Breaking Bad, Season 2 of GOT, and Season 4 of Dexter for me.
what was rust refering to with the whole mirror and cutting off balls stuff vs bullett to the head?
he was telling the dude what his options were i believe, my only complaint about the show is they talk to softly. you know how some shows are like that you have to turn the dam volume up just to hear and still cant lol. i have to rewind several times just to make sure i catch what they are saying.
just watched last episode again, shit was even better this time. love the music they use, the black angels and grinderman penetrate yeah
saying the mexian cartels tie down guys to chairs where they cant move for torture...cuts off their face by pulling down their scalp....then (cause they arent dead) they cut off their dick n balls, shove it down their throat and they either choke to death or just slowly bleed out...while they watch in front of a mirror this whole time
